Does Glen Urquhart Have a Problem Paying His Bills?

Filed in Delaware by on October 17, 2010

Christine O’Donnell isn’t the only Republican candidate for Federal office in Delaware who seems to have a problem paying their bills.

A check of the Delaware Court system on-line database, shows that Glen Urquhart (Teabag/Confederate) has been sued at least 5 times for not paying his bills on time. While the database doesn’t go into detail, we were able to find these:

Sea Colony East Phase V v Glen T. Urquhart for a bad debt.

MIKELL STEWART ET AL VS EDWARD MIDDLETON -NON JURY TRIAL in a Landlord/Tenant case.

FRICK ELECTRIC, HEATING VS GLEN T. URQUHART for a Mechanic’s Lien.

DONOVAN SEWELL VS GLEN T URQUHART in a Landlord/Tenant case.

and VINCE BATTAGLINI VS GLEN URQUHART for a bad debt.

And Urkel and O’Whack-a-Mole want us to trust them with our tax money? I don’t think so.

What is it with these teabagger deadbeats? What ever happened to “personal responsibility?”

Great blogging by the way. Change the headline to read “Does Glen Urquhart Have a Problem Paying His Bills?” because this is certainly newsworthy.

What search engine do you use?

  5. A guy who loaned himself 500k to launch his campaign certainly has less of an excuse than an unemployed PR consultant for not paying bills on time…

    Alta Vista. Doesn’t everyone?

This is evidence that Jerkhart is the kind of creep who is casual paying when HE owes someone. I bet he’s all over your ass if you owe him.
He could open a can of beans with his nose, the ugly fuck.

This is the signature behavior of land developers, skippertee.

2nd he paid a contractor and the subcontractor claimed that he didn’t get paid. Glen Urquhart was a party to the suit because the proper course is to sue everyone involved.

I think you get the flavor of this. None of these are outstanding judgements. All it shows is the litigious nature of society.

  13. MJ says:

Delusional One, no one said that any of these were outstanding claims. Also, since none of us work for the courts, we consulted the on-line database that is open to everyone. It’s unusual for such an upstanding businessman like your candidate to be sued so many times in the recent past for not paying his bills.

We raised the question, which was a legitimate questions. If your candidate can answer these questions, then fine. Until we hear from him, and not from some “spokesman,” (that is what you are calling yourself, isn’t it), then the questions remain about him and his being able to pay his debts.

  14. David Anderson says:

The fact that each suit was resolved and did not even go to trial or was dismissed with prejudice in his favor says all that needs to be said. If you think winning a legal action is some character flaw, it shows you do not care about the truth and there is no need to discuss it further.

  15. MJ says:

If he would have paid his bills on time and ensured that his contractors did their jobs and paid their subcontractors, then he wouldn’t have been sued in the first place. It’s sloppy business and is endemic of the sloppy way your party governed the country from 2001-2009.

As is typical of you and the other teabaggers, if you close your eyes and ignore the truth, then it will simply go away. Sorry, loser.

  16. Aoine says:

    Ouch…..point made
These are legitimate questions for any candidate.

  17. anon1 says:

So in MJ’s eyes, it’s guilty until…well just guilty. If someone accuses you of something, then it must be true!

  18. anon1 says:

Are you applying that logic to Chip Flowers as well? I mean, he wouldn’t have been in a court room if he hadn’t been accused. He wouldnt have been accused if he didnt do anything, right?

  19. MJ says:

Sorry anon 1, your argument is a huge fail. Urkel and the rest of you boobs claim that we need to run the Federal government as a business, because you know how to pay your bills and control costs. Bullshit. If Urkel won his cases, fine. But he parades himself around the state as being a good businessman, and we see that for some reason, he has been dragged into court in order for him to pay his bills.

BTW, love your cheap ass shot at Chip, which has nothing to do with anything. Is Celia Cohen teabagging you, too?

  20. anon1 says:

MJ, are you really this intellectually dishonest? Take a step back and re-read what I wrote and what you wrote. It’s ok to sometimes say that you, or your side, is wrong. Or that the other side might have stumbled into being right. Chip was cleared, so was Urq, I know you can see that.

  21. MJ says:

Chip has never been sued for being a deadbeat on a debt. Urkel has been. Urkel touts his business acumen, yet he seemed to have a problem paying off his creditors, much like your Senate candidate.

  22. phil says:

No, Chip was indicted on much more serious charges…this is exactly the intellectual dishonesty anon is talking about.

I could say: Glen has never been indicted as a woman beater. Chip has been. Chip says he has never hit a woman, yet he seemed to have a problem beating his girlfriends, much like your Senator.

Also, according to the RESULTS of the lawsuits, it seems Glen DID pay his bills on time. That’s why they were dismissed with prejudice.

  23. MJ says:

And you know this how, Phil? Was there a Grand Jury empaneled that returned a true bill? No! Basically, Cohen, working for du Pont/Bonini/Charles Potter, got a hold of sealed court documents and painted a picture out of whole cloth. All I reported on was that there appears to be a problem with Urkel paying his bills on time and the candidate has remained silent.

  24. Aoine says:

Actually you are wrong….the bill (says the creditor) was not paid on time which what enabled the cause of action to be brought.

You cannot mix civil cases and criminal cased like that.the rules of evidence and the standards or too different to compare the two.

To my knowledge chip was not indicted…there would have had tp been a true bill returned by and grand jury for that….his case was not on that track

However Urkie was brought to court because someone felt he owed them money…is is possible that the cased was dismissed because the two sides reached a private agreement and therefore it was dismissed.with prejudice.

If the case was a frivilous one the defendant could have filed suit against the original plaintiff for bringing a frivilous suit….however that did not happen

Which leads me to believe the case at some merit at least….and where there is this much smoke there is fire…..its a lot of smoke
Not a jilted girlfirend he said she said I never reported it type things

Plus…when you are running as a fiscal conservative with values and asking for the public to trust you with their money..and you cannot handle your own….like COD and URKIE….sorry won’t fly….
