El Somnambulo On Al’s Show This (Tuesday) Morning **LIVEBLOG**

Filed in Delaware by on October 26, 2010

Will be talking about Colin Bonini, the no-show part-time legislator who wants to be a full-time State Treasurer. Or, at least, paid like one.

WDEL 1150-AM at 9 a.m.

**UPDATE** ‘Bulo is on the air now. I can’t listen at work but others record what you’re hearing below.

    Go get em El Som!

  2. Go ‘Bulo! You’ll be great. It’s nice to see Bonini’s absentee record getting some attention.

  3. Joanne Christian says:

    As El Som?

  4. cassandra m says:

    Break a leg, Bulo!

Please ask them to put up a audio of your start turn this AM so that all of your pals stuck in work meetings this AM can hear…..

  5. MJ says:

    I’m listening.

  6. Joanne Christian says:

Me too–why don’t we do one of those blogs while he’s on :)!!!

  7. Resourceful says:

El is full of it. Never elected himself bashing every other elected official, fired from even being an elected official’s staff in Dover. He is pathetic.

  8. Auntie Dem says:

El Som is burning it up! Whooot!

You can’t find any hole in his argument, I see. We appreciate your concession that Bonini is a useless lump.

I would simply say that Bonini is an unqualified bombastic hypocrite, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it.

  10. Dana Garrett says:

You’re doing a great job, El Som!

  11. anon says:

Shame on Dems (and the News Journal) for letting Bonini run over and over again without calling him out on the facts like El Som is doing today.

  12. Jason330 says:

Bonini’s radio ads don’t provide who paid for them. That’s a violation isn’t it?

  13. MJ says:

    Resourceful, isn’t.

  14. mediawatch says:

    Well done, El Som.

  15. Joe Cass says:

Best morning show I’ve heard in years

  16. The New You says:

I didn’t hear him mention anything about this on the radio.

  17. MJ says:

TNY – when was the last time you read El Som saying anything about John Atkins.

  18. The New You says:

He wasn’t. But he was talking about Bonini’s attendance at Sunset meetings. Good for the goose is good for the gander, no?

  19. Thanks, everyone. A majorMAJOR tip of the Somnambulo sombrero to Kurward Derby, whose urbanity is only surpassed by his encyclopedic knowledge.

As to ‘The New You’, I could be wrong, but I don’t think I’ve ever written anything complimentary about John Atkins, and I HAVE criticized him quite a bit here.

The topic was Colin Bonini, after all. Next time, call in.

If there IS a next time.

BTW, does this mean that Hastings is endorsing Flowers? What’s good for the goose…

  20. Joanne Christian says:

Good for you El!! I listened to every word.

  21. Great show! What Bonini has been saying doesn’t match up with what he’s been DOING. That point was solidly vetted and I hope Chip gets a bounce out of it. What is up with the WNJ refusing to write about this or about the Bloomberg endorsement?

I checked google and saw that the Dover Post, Sussex Countian and others published the Flowers endorsement presser but have heard that the News Journal editors stood on a rule that Colin Bonini’s endorsements were “better” and “news worthy” because they actually came to Delaware whereas Bloomberg hadn’t.

  22. Joanne Christian says:

Caught you too Nancy…and believe me I’m VERY worried if P & P S & C are left in charge!!

  23. Yogie says:

Great job El Som…maybe you should be running for office. You were much more articulate than most of these clowns running.

Tell your friends and family to vote for Chip Flowers. This may be the closest race in the state. Every vote can really make a difference.

  24. Been there, done that, itch scratched, ain’t gonna happen.

  25. Joanne Christian says:

That might be a BooBoo, Yogie.

  26. Al Mascitti says:

Unfortunately, a computer glitch prevents me from posting a podcast at WDEL.com of El Som’s guest appearance. My apologies; if anyone out there recorded it, let me know at al@wdel.com and I’ll try to post it later.

  27. Dana Garrett says:

“maybe you should be running for office. You were much more articulate than most of these clowns running.”

I agree w/ Yogie. I also thought you, El Som, would make a wonderful politician. You’re articulate, fast on your feet, fact orientated–just what we need from politicians in DE.

  28. No podcast? Nooooooooo!!!!!

  29. I did a rough transcript and am putting a post up soon with the highlights. Most of them are already available in posts here throughout the month. I am going to link to them. Al is having Chip on maybe tomorrow. That should be good!!

  30. cassandra m says:

    No podcast? Nooooooooo!!!!!

    x2!

Although I guess I should be the one to point out that Podcasts Are For Elitists.

  31. dv says:

Jason and I have a podcast youall can listen too
