The Cure For Back Pain

Filed in National by on October 27, 2010

Tim Profitt, the Rand Paul Bourbon County Coordinator (former) and woman-stomper has an explanation for his behavior:

The former Rand Paul volunteer who stomped on the head of a prone MoveOn activist tells a local CBS affiliate he would’ve never put his foot on the victim at all if it wasn’t for his bad back.

According to WKYT, “[Tim] Profitt explained that he used his foot to try and keep her down because he can’t bend over because of back problems. He also says police were alerted to watch her before Paul arrived because people in the crown recognized her as someone who may try and pull a stunt.”

I’m sure you’ve already heard Profitt’s “apology:”

Tim Profitt, a volunteer with the Republican’s U.S. Senate campaign, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the camera angle made the scuffle Monday night appear worse that it was. He criticized police for not stepping in and says other supporters warned authorities about the activist.

He’s sorry he had to step on her head, the police weren’t suppressing her free speech fast enough! He’s also sorry the camera angle was all wrong. He was just giving her a love stomp.

His actual statement:

“I’m sorry that it came to that, and I apologize if it appeared overly forceful, but I was concerned about Rand’s safety,” Tim Profitt told The Associated Press.

After almost 24 hours, Rand Paul finally condemned the incident and tried to distance himself from his won volunteer (whose endorsement the campaign had just announced in a newspaper ad).

She was asking for it – The cry of every wife beater.

    Evil, simply evil.

  3. anonone says:

Note also that Paul must have known who the stomper was as soon as he saw the video, but failed to identify him to the police. Also, what about the tackler/breast groper? When is he going to be arrested?

  4. skippertee says:

Tim, I want you to know… that I try. When Pandora and Auntie Dem tell me that I’m supposed to control my violent temper, and be passive and nonviolent like they are, I try. I really try. Though when I see this girl… of such a beautiful spirit… so degraded… and I think of the number of years that she’s going to have to carry in her memory… the savagery of this idiotic moment of yours… I just go BERSERK!-Billie Jack, with my apologies

  5. fightingbluehen says:

Wow, local bully and henchman for Christine O’Donnell Evan Quidditch needs to take lessons from this guy.

  6. Jose Mourinho says:

He is not fantastic, but I am.

  7. a.price says:

well, it is obvious the answer is to treat a teabag MORE violently. eye for an eye right? That wont cause an even worse retaliation AT ALL!!

Remember the idea.. “if we change our nation because of the terrorists, the terrorists win”?

If we respond to these right wing terrorists with thuggish violence, they have won. They will have turned this country in to what they want it to be. Instead more of us should show up at Randy NoZe rallies. Show the Bags we wont be intimidated, or brought down to their level….. as far as violence goes.
On the other hand, i am all about smear campaigns and dirty political tricks. it is sad, but that is what Americans respond to and we need to win. There are real consequences to Tbags winning elections and as long as no one is physically harmed, there is nothing we shouldn’t do to keep them out of office.

Take off your hair-shirt and put away your holy water.
Even our Lord and Savior Himself used violence when it was warranted.
“if we change our nation because of the terrorists, the terrorists win”? The TERRORISTS have WON. Been through an airport in the last 7 years?

  9. a.price says:

first of all, YOUR lord and savior.
second of all, jsut because our government surrendered to islamic extremists doesnt mean we should surrender to right wing terrorists.

and i man-scape. so no hair shirt here.

  10. Joe Cass says:

a.price, a punk jumps up to get beat down. Look at who and what they support. Its brainless; they wail and moan about the bailouts and work to put the corporate puppets in office to deregulate all over again. There is no working with these baggers. I’m with skippertree.

  11. a.price says:

you’re right. there is no working with them. But people already consider liberals “loonies” if we get violent…. the cause will be lost forever.
Remember, Brother Glenn has gotten them ready for liberal violence. They almost killed this woman for walking towards one of their false prof(phe)its. If we help his sick vision come true, many many people will die.
I will not sink to their level. They are scum. They are the dregs of humanity, the lowest common denominator. I’ll expose them, i’ll mock them, i’ll make them reveal their true nature and i will defend myself if attacked, but i will never, NEVER become one of them.
and i will never stand with a so called progressive who becomes one of them.

  12. skippertee says:

    Oh,a.price.
Give me some time to save your soul from eternal damnation to the FIRES of HELL !!!!
And while we’re at it, you can look at my new line of AMWAY and VITAMINS.
Feel free to invite some friends.

  13. a.price says:

i have no clue what you are talking about at this point. Have fun on your crusade.

  14. Geezer says:

“Even our Lord and Savior Himself used violence when it was warranted.”

No, he didn’t. Overturning a few tables is not “violence.” It’s “destruction of property.”

  15. Tim Profitt must be a defense attorney’s nightmare:

Tim Profitt — the former Rand Paul volunteer who stomped on the head of a MoveOn activist — told told local CBS station WKYT that he wants an apology from the woman he stomped and that she started the whole thing.

“I don’t think it’s that big of a deal,” Profitt said. “I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you.”

    More of “she deserved it.”

  16. pandora says:

I’m speechless. He wants an apology from her? I wouldn’t be the least surprised if Profitt has a history of domestic violence.

    No man-pants here.

  17. skippertee says:

“No, he didn’t. Overturning a few tables is not “violence.” It’s “destruction of property.” ”
Well, I studied with Jesuits. They were, foremost, scholars.
The incident in the temple was one discussion I remember well. They were quite sure the VIOLENCE was more like a rumble, in modern parlance, and Our Savior indeed was a willing and avid participant.
The much later WRITERS of the BIBLE edited Holy Scriptures to minimize the violent aspects and to promote the more peaceful ones found throughout the New Testament.
Mr.Geezer,I find you a wise, thoughtful and intelligent man.
I disagree this time with you, respectfully.

  18. anonone says:

I don’t think I missed the story of Jesus head stomping Mary Magdalene, but I may have. He was a nut case, too.

  19. heragain says:

It would be a defense attorney’s nightmare in NCC; in Kentucky, I’m not so sure.

What some of you might not realize is, I’ve been looking at these characters for 30 years, since “The Summer of Life” hit Buffalo. They are the shock troops of the anti-choice movement, and they’re straight on thugs. Buffalo wasn’t wildly pro-choice… politics there were the fairly conservative, labor oriented type, with many small ethnic neighborhoods. A town where having the support of beat police was the only endorsement most candidates would ever need. But having those people show up to shove people off the sidewalk changed the way the community looked at the Right, and not they way they hoped.

Everyone should put in a couple of weeks doing clinic escorting.

  20. anonone says:

The Temple in which it supposedly occurred was very well-guarded and no person would have been able to just walk in their and start turning over tables and then walk out, any more then you could walk into a bank today and start doing it. It is a myth, but a violent one, nevertheless.

  21. V says:

Yeah she was pulling a silly litt stunt and yes she was wearing a wig looking all suspicious(real ‘merkin girls don’t have buzz cuts apparently, maybe she wanted to look more like she fit in). She was doing something kind of silly and childish to get the media’s attention.

but this guy STOMPED ON HER HEAD.

THOSE ARE NOT TWO EQUAL THINGS.

Next person who sees Jame O’Keefe being awkward and creepy to get on Fox News gets to roundhouse kick him to the throat.

  22. anonone says:

pandora, she crushed the bottom of his foot with her head. Of course, he deserves an apology!

He needs to become the Rand Paul poster boy.

  23. a.price says:

“The much later WRITERS of the BIBLE edited Holy Scriptures to minimize the violent aspects and to promote the more peaceful ones found throughout the New Testament.”
that is the first time i have ever heard anyone suggest the original teachings of jesus were altered to be more tolerant.

But i must again point out your lefteabag argument that “jesus did it” so it is ok for you to be violent if it helps accomplish your political dream. Please wake up and stop being one of them. The idea that a progressive can bo so teabaggy just doesnt sit well.

  24. Joe Cass says:

a.price, I respect and appreciate your position. It is good to know that after I get locked up or worse that people like you will still be away from the front lines continuing the struggle.

  25. pandora says:

Please don’t get locked up, Joe.

First, I’d miss you. Second, the Right is salivating for a “they do it, too” poster boy.

This foot stomping incident is sending shock waves across the country. People who have been dismissing Dems as hysterical are taking notice.

  26. skippertee says:

I’ll be beside you Joey Cassanova.
All for one and one for all and all that.

  27. The focus on whether Ms. Valle was wearing a wig and carrying a sign reminds me a lot of what some rape victims go through.

  28. Anvil says:

It will be easy to pick out the extreme left/right wingers. They’ll all be blind and toothless. It’s a sad day when ideology trumps being an American and adhering to the rule of law. Americans have a right to be obnoxious without getting their brains kicked in, regardless of which end of the political spectrum you support.

  29. a.price says:

Violence and war-talk is the way of the Right. Not sure why you are even pretending to advocate for progressive causes. you’d be much happier at a Glen Beck rally. they LOVE the “glorious battle” talk there.
One violent progressive ruins our cause for generations. That is the reality of America. Stop kidding yourself into thinking that any act of violence will do anything but make the Right wing stronger.
By all means, defend yourself…. id like to think if it were my head under that “man’s” boot, id have ripped his leg off. But if you become the aggressor, you get used as justification for when a Right wing lunatic kills people….. and our media and american sheeple will understand.
We win by being better people than them. Not better fighters.

  30. People who have been dismissing Dems as hysterical are taking notice.

I guess we’ll know in a week whether the “Aqua Buddha” ad helped Jack Conway any. Talk about an incident to reinforce what Rand Paul did in college though, sheesh.

  31. a.price says:

skip and joe, when you guys … do whatever it is you plan to do with brass knuckles or whatever…. please dont identify yourselves as liberals or progressives. because those of us who care about our cause will certainly disavow. In fact im pretty sure i’ll be saying you are double agent Right wingers who wanted to make us look bad.

  32. skippertee says:

    WHO’S got PLANS?
And I don’t own brass knuckles or handguns or weird knives or plan to carry any.
You really have your panties in a bunch about us.
    Chill,man.
If the time comes, I WILL take care of business.
It won’t matter what philosophy I follow at THAT time.
The BATTLE LINES will be clearly drawn.

  33. a.price says:

you mentioned “big guys with brass knuckles”
man, wing nuts on BOTH sides hate it when you read their words back to them. and there ya go with battle lines…..
    sad.

  34. skippertee says:

Yeah, a suggestion. A rhetorical fantasy. NOT a PLAN.
And the above post refers to the REAL possibility of civil war as EXPOUNDED by the RIGHTIES if things don’t go their way!
    In the FUTURE!
You’re not that bright, are you?

  35. a.price says:

skippy, in another thread i asked you “specifically what do you think we should do” you referred me to a previous comment you made about brass knuckles. I apologize for not knowing you think “specific” means “rhetorically”

And i am very bright, and VERY protective of my ideals and i will not have them ruined by thugs who claim to be progressives but talk and behave like teabags.

  36. Geezer says:

Skipper: Fair enough. Once you get into the area of what REALLY happened and what was later revision, it’s hard to stop; I assume you’re familiar with the Jesus Project. I have to wonder, though — where did your teachers come up with their version of events? We have no contemporary accounts. I’m guessing these are just their suppositions. There’s no evidence that Jesus was a violent participant.

  37. Joe Cass says:

a.price, when I get wrapped up I’m certain that my union membership will top any affiliation of yours that I don’t subscribe to. Your idea I’m an aggressor is wrong but I don’t back down and I don’t tolerate threats. Maybe I’m waiting to be baited but I’ll take that bait the the time and place of my own choosing.

  38. a.price says:

clarify please…. you’re hoping your union affiliation makes you a target?

  39. Joe Cass says:

I’m hoping my membership(in good standing) with my union makes the workplace more safe and fairer for all Americans. If someone spits on my colors its gonna be a blur until the law steps in.

  40. a.price says:

too bad you cant control yourself. I hope you dont bring dishonor and a bad name to your union when that happens. It would be a shame for the right wing to strip them of their legality because one member was all too ready to fight.

  41. Aoine says:

Joe Cass – I have bail money and I will come get you out – be glad to have you on my side,,, or at my back….

  42. Joe Cass says:

Aione- Go raibh míle maith agat!
a.price-Go mbeire an diabhal leis thú!

  43. TellTheTruth says:

Teabaggers hate being called teabaggers. I like what William Buckley said when the KKK, Birchers, Nationalists tried to take over the republican party, he called them “vulgarists”. I think thats a more appropriate word for em. These are dangerous people. Carrying guns to public rallies, nothing was done. The Alaska nutjob Millers goons “arrested and handcuffed” a reporter, and now one of the Kentucky Teabaggers on Rand Pauls team, stomps on a womans head? She had a concussion and was hospitalized overnight. Sharron Angle has a “second amendment remedy if the citizens don’t support/vote the baggers”. Vulgarists who have taken over the Tea Party should be tossed out by Ron Paul. This is not the Teaparty based on Ron Paul, its the teaparty taken over by KKK, Birchers, and White nationlists…thats the Vulgarists Party of today.

  44. aprice says:

Ron Paul is a fraud who is just as responsible for the current situation as his son.

  45. aprice says:

    cass, what?
