I forgot to mention that my 16 year old son has invited his girlfriend and her parents over for dinner and trick-or-treating. Should be a haunting good time.

One of the spookiest pieces of music I have heard anywhere is Epitaffio Per Orchestra E Nastro Magnetico by Norwegian electronic music pioneer Arne Nordheim (who died in June). Nordheim achieved his electronic effects by looping and splicing audio tape; Epitaffio is a collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic. It would make an awesome soundtrack for a haunted house (or a sleepover for thirteen year old girls). The creepiness keeps building as the piece proceeds.
I can’t find the performance anywhere for free, but it is available for 99 cents through Amazon.

whoa..that is scary. Some Republican a-holes were sitting next to me in a bar while I waited for a take out order on Friday night. All the stupid bullshit, word for word, about Coons and Obama. One even hoped for a terrorist attack on the White House. It took all of my ninja training to maintain my chill – but I hope those bozos get kicked in the balls by this Tuesday’s results.
