  1. anonone says:

What about the AG race? You seemed concerned about it earlier today. 🙂

  2. Delaware Dem says:

    Must. Kill. Anonone. LOL.

  3. Joanne Christian says:

Oh yea, I forgot I saw Doug Campbell fixing one of his larger signs at Townsend Elementary early this afternoon. He was in camo.

  4. pandora says:

    Camo? OMG, really?

  5. Joanne Christian says:

Now pandora–would my credibility be worth risking on that lil’ detail? Oh, and my friend from Dover in Bennett/Miller territory saw my posting on the fragile elderly voting, called and reports she noticed the same thing about walkers, oxygen etc.. this cycle. Who knows–they may be the answer in exit polling. Allen Loudell–where are you?????

  6. meatball says:

“fragile elderly voting, called and reports she noticed the same thing about walkers, oxygen etc.. this cycle.”

These are the very people somehow against “socialized medicine.”

  7. pandora says:

    MSNBC calls it for Coons!

  8. Grania says:

Paul Clark gets a promotion and I get a one way ticket to New Mexico.

  9. Delaware Dem says:

I hope the broomstick does not chaffe that witch’s ass on her way out of the state. And Christine, take the teabaggers with you.

  10. Joe Cass says:

Thank you Tea Party! Christine was quite a dear, now please remove her from here!

  11. yeoman says:

NY Times is telling me that Carney is our next AL Rep.
It’s funny to see that the first pickup goes to the democrats. Sadly, there won’t be many of those.

  12. pandora says:

    MSNBC calls it for Carney!

  13. phil says:

no one minds that not single vote has been counted?

  14. pandora says:

Wow! Not only did the Tea Party lose the senate seat, they also lost Castle’s REPUBLICAN House seat.

  15. yeoman says:

Nope. And we’ll see who is right when they are.

  16. paratrooper18 says:

I can’t wait for the numbers. The tea baggers need to be shown a big defeat to demoralize them.

  17. cassandra m says:

Congratulations to both John and Chris!

And congratulations to the people of Delaware who had the sense to send these tejadis packing. Decisively, too.

  18. Both Coons and Carney have been called winners. Congrats guys!

  19. Boxwood says:

    WAPO say its Coons!

Gee Christine did a HOUSE fall on ya?

  20. Jason330 says:

Phew. I was getting nervous over the last couple of days. Congratulations Senator Coons. Thanks tbagz!

  21. Rusty Dils says:

I am happy for all you Chris Coons Supporters, But I suggest you go to bed early, and not watch your television for the rest of the night so that you can keep your fantasy alive that the tea party is not changing anything

  22. Joe Cass says:

Delaware doesn’t do tea. How’s that taste?

  23. Boxwood says:

Q: What does Popeye do when his Dils gets Rusty?

A: Puts it in Olive Oil!

    Ar, Ar, Ar…

  24. anonone says:

While I was wrong about Obomba, I think Coons will be a great Senator. Carney as representative? Not so much. Anyway, congratulations to both.

    How is Beau doing?

  25. Delaware Dem says:

    Beau is winning with 85%

  26. anonone says:

Oh, well. Maybe he’ll imprison fewer innocent people in his next term.

  27. Dana Garrett says:

So far Coons and Carney are not merely winning. They are trouncing their opponents.

  28. DownstateD says:

Several ED’s in Sussex are 2-1 COD with big turnout. Be careful.

  29. Joe Cass says:

Chip Flowers! Get yourself a double dip Bonono, double fudge!

  30. paratrooper18 says:

Sussex county cannot turn the election. Simply not enough votes if New Castle has the margin.

Meanwhile the donors from around the country have set COD up with a nice amount of $$$ to live on for the next few years, until she gets that job with Fox.

  31. Dana Garrett says:

With 101 districts reporting, Korn is beating Wagner by 8+% points. Go, Richard!

  32. anonone says:

On hearing me describe the results, my 10 year-old said that Delaware is good for corn and flowers.

  33. pandora says:

    Awww… that’s cute.

  34. Lee Ann says:

Have Ds ever held all statewide offices?

  35. Dana Garrett says:

Flowers is ripping Bonni by 10%.

  36. anon says:

After this morning’s brisk conversation I cast a protest vote for Beau’s third party opponent. I hope the dude doesn’t dress like a Nazi on weekends or something.

  37. Dana Garrett says:

Damn, Wagner just pulled ahead of Korn. And Flowers is barely ahead.

  38. paratrooper18 says:

Dam COD won Kent County.. You can just hear her next time saying she won 60% of the counties in DE.

  39. Boxwood says:

Whoever had the ‘under 40’ on O’Donnell looks like a winner.

College men, don’t open your doors to any shady ladybugs tonite!

  40. paratrooper18 says:

At least we now know which poll was accurate.. the one that showed COD closing in was a pipe dream.

  41. anonone says:

I voted for him, too, Anon. He is an ex-felon, fyi.

  42. Phantom says:

    Wow,
O’Donnell is totally crazy. Don’t raise taxes on the rich is not really a great motto. Plus a 17% majority means that Delaware is a pure blue state so if you are red I would recommend moving so that you don’t get corrupted by prosperity.

  43. Delbert says:

But the funny thing is a third party candidate that has a felony record and seals blacktop for a living got 54,175 votes against Bo Biden. I’ll allow that he has 4,000 friends. That means you could put a chimp in there named Anything But Bo and it would get 50,000 votes. Now that’s funny.

  44. Delaware Dem says:

Not really. If I were a mindless Republican who hated Biden and could never vote for him, I would vote third party as a protest.

  45. Geezer says:

If it had been anyone but a convicted felon who seals blacktop for a living, I would have voted for him. I just couldn’t do it.

  46. Joanne Christian says:

Any chance you guys could lay off the “seals blacktop for a living”? I really twist at remarks calling into scrutiny a day’s honest work. Now, if you qualified that w/….”paralegal experience would be appreciated”…or some other some such reference, I could get it. But, as phrased it does seem snide and elitist—and I’m just one who believes there’s dignity in all work, and I’m just happy the guy is employed. Off soapbox now.

BTW–He does do great blacktop work–my neighbor hired him–well done.

  47. anonone says:

How many innocent people has the “convicted felon who seals blacktop for a living” imprisoned for murder?

Hopefully, those of us who voted against him sent a message: Biden needs to go back to his law firm and spend more time with his family.

  48. Lois Lipton Parker says:

Chris Coons and John Carney are the best of the best and will be a great asset to the State Of Delaware. The voters will be glad they elected both of them and I look forward to many years having them represent us. Lois Lipton Parker

  49. skippertee says:

Or,how many guilty people has the “convicted felon who seals blacktop for a living” failed to indict for murder?
    Well stroked,anonone !

  50. Delaware Dem says:

Joanne is right. Being a contractor is not a negative, it is a honest job. I think where Anonone, Geezer, and Skippertree are going with this is that being a contractor with no legal experience whatsoever does not qualify him to be Attorney General.

  51. Joanne Christian says:

And that’s the point that needs to be clarified. But hey–we’ve elected high school drop-outs to governor, and have acknowledged hard-work and learning the ropes as credible criteria for the office. Just sayin’.

  52. anonone says:

Doesn’t being a felon qualify as “legal experience?”

  53. skippertee says:

I respect anyone putting in an honest day’s work.
I make no judgment as to the man’s qualifications to be Attorney General.
I speak only of the inadequacies of our current AG, whose position is only due to the love engendered by his father’s great and faithful service to our fair state.
Joe I have always loved.I pulled the lever for the first time as the first 18 year old allowed when Joe beat Boggs.
This a heartbreaking thing that I’m unable to transfer that love to his son.

  54. Jefferson says:

Yeah Flowers!!!!! He overcame the party during the primary and a scandal, a vicious onslaught of negative attacks from Bonini in the general election while being outspent something like 5-1. Chip is going to be a force to be reckoned with…

Carney and Coons will excel in Washington. I was particularly glad to see Carney win given the tough loss he suffered in 2008.

It was heartbreaking to see Korn lose in a squeaker. He and his team worked extremely hard and to lose in such a fashion must be devastating.
