John Shadegg Shouldn’t Drink and Talk
I saw Rep. John Shadegg(R-AZ) on Morning Joe on Tuesday morning. He made a complete fool of himself.
First, he says (and then doubles down), on his belief that unemployed people save their money, rather than spending it. Then he can’t get the gumption to criticize Sarah Palin as he evades a direct question over and over and over again. Keep in mind as you watch this clip that John Shaddeg is leaving the Congress, never to return when the new Congress is sworn in. He has nothing to lose by telling Sarah is unqualified to be President, yet he can’t bring himself to say it.
Pathetic.

The good news is that he’s retiring in Jan. The bad news is that he is been replaced by Dan Quayle’s son.
At first blush the point of this post seems to be “John Shadegg is an idiot.” But if you look at the big picture, Shadegg is just one more drop in the rain of stupid that is falling on our national discourse and forming into vast sheets of stupid. Shadegg:
You might think “Gee, Shadegg is an idiot about the economy” and you would be right. But what you would be missing is that Democratic lawmakers who even entertain the idea of extending the tax cuts for the rich are buying into the same Shadegg-style stupid. That means Carper, Coons, and Carney.
Democrats, from bloggers to Presidents, have failed to dislodge the false premise that tax cuts for the rich create growth, aka trickle-down. Democratic senators casually state “This is not the time for tax increases,” as if the tax cuts for the rich somehow help the economy. Every major media outlet has worked this frame into their news reporting.

Actually, the truth is the unemployed will spend as little of that money as they possibly can. He’s never been unemployed… Obviously. Those unemployed are behind and spend every single penny for a year even after they find work…. every penny. (No one saves anything these days, doesn’t everyone know that by now? {unless you’re Chinese, of course.}) Every penny of unemployment adds gasolene to the fire of our economy.
Job creators create jobs ,, Problem is with the Bush tax cuts, all those jobs were created with American money overseas. Fewer jobs were in America at the end of Bush’s reign, and at the beginning. Republican tax cuts cost American jobs.!
Completely Kill the tax cuts, and this nation will rise again, passing China in its dust.
