Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, are separating after 40 years of marriage. Best wishes to the Gores. Forty years is a long time and I hope they are able to work things out.

And we should not limit this day or remembrance to military veterans, but expand it to all those of our countrymen and women who put their lives on the lines for us. Policemen. Firemen. Paramedics. Anyone who has selflessly sacrificed themselves and their lives for others.

Chris Coons Calls for the End of DADT
This Memorial Day weekend, Chris Coons is congratulating the House for passing the bill that would eventually repeal DADT as well as congratulating Senator Ted Kaufmann for his YES vote on moving DADT Repeal out of the Senate Armed Services Committee. This is his statement in full:
