There is a new movement that has come from some of the people active in the Delaware social media scene to preempt some of the awful discrimination that is now facing the unemployed and others. In an economy that now has 5 unemployed workers for every open job, some employers have started putting disqualifiers in […]

What’s A Voter To Do?

Filed in National by on July 7, 2010 8 Comments

I honestly have no idea what will end up happening in November, but these numbers aren’t promising for anyone. 52% of the undecideds in the Senate race disapprove of President Obama to 35% who like the job he’s doing. They don’t think much of the Democrats in Congress either- only 26% have a like the […]

Filed in National by on July 7, 2010 44 Comments

SECOND OF A CONTINUING SERIES My scholarly treatise on semiotics, the Hapsburg dynasty, Game Theory, and Gerald Brady will just have to wait for another day. Exigent circumstances in the form of House Minority Leader Dick Cathcart’s retirement have taken precedence. And, while we’re at it, we’ll look at another intriguing ‘Appo’ (as Joanne Christian  […]

From The Department Of You Can’t Make This Up

Filed in National by on July 7, 2010 25 Comments

Chicago Sun-Times columnist Terry Savage is really proud to be an douchebag. Read this charming story of encountering girls with a lemonade stand who weren’t actually selling lemonade but instead giving it away. His fiancee smiled and commented, “Isn’t that cute. They have the spirit of giving.” That really set me off, as my regular […]
