Public Enemy #1 – Women

Filed in National by on February 24, 2011

There’s been a lot of attention lately to the Republican war on the middle class and unions, but the GOP has shown that their #1 enemy is actually women. We’ve seen bills to redefine rape, legalize the murder of OB-GYNs who perform abortions and defunding of Planned Parenthood. Here’s a new one – women are guilty until proven innocent of baby murder for miscarriages.

A Georgia Representative has introduced a bill to investigate all unsupervised miscarriages as crime scenes. Don’t believe me? Here’s the relevant language from HB 1, downloadable from legislature’s website:

When a spontaneous fetal death required to be reported by this Code section occurs without medical attendance at or immediately after the delivery or when inquiry is required by Article 2 of Chapter 16 of Title 45, the ‘Georgia Death Investigation Act,’ the proper investigating official shall investigate the cause of fetal death and shall prepare and file the report within 30 days[…]

So if you ask how uterus-monitoring is small government, just remember that women (especially women of childbearing age) are not people, we’re just fetus incubators.

There are so many levels of misogyny in this bill that it’s hard to dissect out the various threads of woman-hating. The idea of sending police to interrogate grieving women who have miscarried should horrify anyone. Especially coming from a guy who argues that driver’s licenses constitute an infringement of constitutional rights.

The bill would also more or less suspend the presumption of innocence to women who lose pregnancies. If a woman failed to carry a pregnancy to term, in accordance with her divinely ordained role, the onus would be on her to satisfy the state that she didn’t deliberately kill it.

Somewhere between 1/4 to 1/3 of all pregnancies end in a spontaneous miscarriage. Others have pointed out that the earliest pregnancy tests don’t work until 3 weeks. I don’t think that common sense, science or practicality. It’s all about establishing a fertilized egg as a person with rights above and beyond uterus holders women.

these guys must have had a rough time in college. Im guessing all their HS sweethearts went to Berkley, or NYU, or Umass and dumped their redneck asses as soon as they met guys who’s first kiss wasnt their sister. This is their revenge. They SHOULD have just gotten a case a beer and listened to some Air Supply.

  2. skippertee says:

College? You think this BLUNT-SKULL went to COLLEGE?
    Maybe Liberty U?
But not a real school that trains one to THINK!

  3. socialistic ben says:

you’re probably right. College can also mean “they were hanging out in the back of a pickup truck on college campuses harassing the students”. Either way, these embarrassments to men everywhere have a serious chip on their shoulders regarding the fairer sex.

  4. socialistic ben says:

btw, it’s good to see ya back, skip

  5. Von Cracker says:

All your feti belong to MEH!

And again, example 685,789,763 why religion poisons everything.

  6. Obama2008 says:

Once you accept a fetus is a person there is no end to the mischief.

  7. anon says:

Those who claim they want less government would have crotch watchers in every maternity ward in America! Do these idiots not know that women often abort their fetus simply because the body expelled it. Now these women will have to prove they didnt do anything to caused their bodies expel a fetus. These neandrathals have no clue regarding women’s bodies. If these baggers continue with their assault on women, working people do they really thinking the common perso is going to vote for them?

  8. socialistic ben says:

anon, they have always assaulted women and working people, and they continue to win elections. Most Americans are too dumb to understand what evil little pigfuckers the conservatives are…. or they themselves are evil little pigfuckers and want to be able to execute their daughters for miscarrying their son’s baby.

    the south sucks.

  9. aoine says:

Well here is an even bigger question…
Who and what money is going to pay for the infastructure to do all this reporting and investigating?
I thought they wanted smaller government …not more of it
    Looser hypocrites

  10. Don says:

If South Dakota manages to turn the killing of anyone involved in the death of a fetus into “justifiable homicide”, I wonder if that will make it OK for family members to kill a woman who has a miscarriage?

  11. Obama2008 says:

I suppose at the next Dem rally all the female protesters will be wearing police tape around their pelvises.

  12. Nebraska is going to introduce the kill the abortion doctors bill that South Dakota dropped.

  13. socialistic ben says:

i dont see the women of these states, or the wives and daughters of the pig-lawmakers raising any hell. what gives?

  14. Jason330 says:

Women are human? I guess you haven’t head of the bill making it’s way through the Kansas state house.

  15. Obama2008 says:

To be honest I have very little energy to devote to helping protect abortion rights in Kansas. Let them stew in their own juices or move out. Red states should revert to the forsaken dusty hellholes God meant them to be.

If they want to make lemons out of lemonade they can start a world class institute for the study of anencephalic newborns. You have to be quick though because they only last about fifteen minutes.

  16. anon says:

Looks like we have our own ill informed nut bag in Delaware. The Most Rev. Chris Bullock has hooked up with the anti abortion groups. So glad ole Chris backed out of the race for Congress, before the “women” he had sex and children with exposed him. Maybe ole Chris should have taken his women (not his wife) to Planned Parenthood for some family planning. What a hypocrit..does he think we have all forgotten?

  17. anon says:

The Craziest Wing nut in America, Ga Bobby Franklin, who introduced the bill on miscarriages, also introduced a bill proposing getting rid of drivers licenses arguing that are a “throwback” to oppressive times. Why are these guys a bunch of ole white men from the south or mid west?
