A $1.00 Chicken Sandwich Please, Hold the Benefits

Filed in National by on February 21, 2011 30 Comments

I’ve noticed this story, but like the unreasonably cheap $1.00 chicken sandwich, I haven’t given it much thought. THIS Investment Makes Sense

Filed in National by on February 18, 2011 3 Comments

Buried in the Business Section of today’s News-Journal is, IMHO, a much better economic development engine than the one handed to the DuPont Company: State economic development officials will announce plans today to grant $2.4 million to Johnson Controls Inc. to support a planned expansion in Middletown, where the Wisconsin-based company operates a battery production […]

State of the Treasurer’s Office

Just over a month ago, Chip Flowers was sworn in at the Treasurer of the State of Delaware. Since that time, he has started fulfilling campaign promises. He has a way to go, but hey, it’s been a month. One of his suggestions was a regular report of Delaware’s economic situation.  The idea was to […]

A Modest Alternative To Demonizing State Workers

A Modest Alternative To Demonizing State Workers

Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others… he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

I’m quite optimistic about this Wisconsin thing catching on. New Jersey and Ohio seem to be likely candidates.
