The Rethug Undead Live Again!

They sorta come to life in August of even-numbered years, and disappear after Election Day.  You’ve heard most of their names, if only in passing.

Here are said names, before they once again pass on:

David Graham, the R name on the ballot for Attorney General.  Finished with 2.8% of the vote in the R primary for Governor back in 2020.  Ran as an Independent for AG back in 2014, got 2.1% of the vote.  Not an attorney.  Drives a chicken truck for Perdue.

April Callaway, the R candidate for State Auditor.  She’s a newbie who ‘is a Seaford resident and insurance/billing administrator for Lewes Dental.’

Brent Burdge for SD 5.  A perennial candidate who is a Second Amendment gun nut.  Got 34% against State Rep. Sean Matthews back in 2022.  Got 39.6% against Melanie Ross Levin in 2024.  Got 34.6% against Ray Seigfried in the Special Election for State Senate in 2025.

Chris Rowe for SD 7Former NCC Rethug County Chair who was forced to step down after uttering homosexual slurs.  In fairness, that’s a great platform to run for R State Chair now.

Tanya Hettler for RD 6.  I remember her.  Some sort of ‘Christian counselor’ who got buried when she ran against Kim Stock for the Brandywine School Board back in 2021. She’s now the ‘Education Director’ for, wait for it, the Caesar Rodney Institute.

Shane Stoneman for RD 7.  Trying to break the 30% mark for the first time against Rep. Larry Lambert.  Got 28.7% in 2022, got 29.7% in 2024.

Dolores Dunleavy for RD 10.  She has ‘proudly served as Treasurer of the Northern New Castle County Regional Republican Committee (NNCCRRC) since 2021, where she plays a critical role in ensuring the organization’s financial integrity, transparency, and long-term stability.’  Hey, it’s not easy managing a $500 budget.  BTW, the Chair of that Northern New Castle County Region?  Brent Burdge.  Probably runs every two years b/c nobody else will.

Anyway, all but Rowe were placed on the ballot by the State Republican Party following their recent convention.  Because nobody had stepped forward to run for these offices on their own.

Sad.
