Video from the Save the Working Class Rally Last Week

Filed in Delaware by on March 21, 2011

For those of us who coulodn’t be at the rally, there is video of portions of it up on You Tube.  There was not a microphone, so according to Jim Westhoff, “we had to stand on the park bench and do it old school. It felt very Huey Long-ish.”

Video of Jim Westhoff kicking it all off:

So, it really was all about unions, and not about the middle class workers. Thanks for confirming that, Cassandra.

  2. Jim Westhoff says:

The event was meant to shed some light on what is being done to destroy the middle class. I spoke about the lies being told about state employees, union and non union alike.

It was fantastic opportunity, and I hope that we did some good.

Thank you to Ann and Joanne for inviting me to stand up and the bench and deliver a speech old school.

    Jim

Sincerely, Mr. Westhoff, as a retired state employee (both union, then non-union) so do I.

  4. Ann says:

This rally certainly was about the middle class, and the poor. Both groups are getting poorer and have been for 20 years. While the rich keep getting richer and richer. We are going through a financial downfall caused by the power brokers of this country and now they are trying to make it look as if the teachers, policemen, firefighters are to blame. If Miscreant doesn’t realize that union workers are definitely middle class–where does she think they fit?
It was a great rally and Jim, Pat, and Jane, and jason did a wonderful job. Three truly caring people. We need more like them.

  5. Joanne Cabry says:

    Jim,

The rally has already done some good. We had a strategy meeting today in Georgetown with some of the Perdue chicken catchers whose jobs were terminated as of last Friday.

Perdue may have busted this union, but we hope everyone will join us in an old fashion boycott. More later.

“If Miscreant doesn’t realize that union workers are definitely middle class–where does she think they fit?”

Miscreant thinks union workers are certainly part of the middle class, but she can’t remember the last time she saw a ‘poor’ union worker. She is also fully aware that the unions aren’t above using the actual ‘poor’ as a pawn as part of a strategy to further their failed cause. She also knows (from experience) that unions are like parasites that eventually suck the life out of the host. She also believes that, in a union stronghold like New Castle County, a hotbed of the gullible and the dependent, that union line of bullshit may fly easier. Good luck with that strategy down here.

“It was a great rally and Jim, Pat, and Jane, and jason did a wonderful job.”

I don’t know why you don’t just go ahead and thank the other half of the entire crowd in attendance.

I’m there, maybe after tomorrow’s dinner. Purdue leg quarters, treated with my special rub, then deep fried in pure peanut oil.

    “More later.”

    Can’t wait.

Micreant, The idea is to join a union so you will NO LONGER BE POOR.
