Later Night Video — Corporations Pay Less Taxes Than YOU, Yeah YOU
Van Jones posted this depressingly funny video to his Facebook page today:
Rich Famous Guy Enjoys Fame & Wealth
Proving once again that Donald Trump knows a bit about publicity, the business man and real estate mogul will make an announcement on the season finale of “Celebrity Apprentice” about his intentions on running for the White House.
General Assembly Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Thurs., Apr. 14, 2011
The Senate passed SB 41 (Hall-Long), which would increase members of the New Castle County Board of Adjustment from 7 to 13 to reflect the number of councilmanic districts, and to require that each district have a member. I understand the intent of the bill. However, is it really in the public’s interest to have a Board of Adjustment that mirrors this less-than-august body?

Tom Carper’s Attack on Social Security
Carper wants to kill Social Security in order to save it for his sons. That’s mighty big of him isn’t it? I’d suggest that one way to save it would be to allow Tom Carper to continue paying into Social Security beyond the first week of the new year. This is posted and linked for the folks (like me) who couldn’t watch or listen to the speech this afternoon. The video is about 43 minutes long. Link to the transcript at whitehouse.gov is also provided if you’d rather read it.

Meanwhile, Greg Sargent compiles a list of educated guesses concerning today’s speech: * Obama set to draw sharp lines? Marc Ambinder reports that the President will lay […]
Those Fickle Independent Voters
Polls show that Congressional Republicans are not popular and that if the elections were held today, Democrats would retake the House.
Delaware Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Weds., April 13. 2011
Time to call the Diminutive Despot’s bluff. Tony DeLuca’s SB 50, which would putatively open the entire Senate redistricting process to the public, passed unanimously in the Senate. It was a cheap and free vote. Unless…the House Speaker, (a) recognizing the sincerity of the Napoleonic Martinet, with which he has plenty of first-hand experience; and […]
