  2. anon says:

Please please tell me the mug and t-shirt are made in the USA.

  3. donviti says:

can someone explain to me how the wingnuts in slower lower allowed a tax increase?

Jesus h. Christ, I may have to rethink my opinion of this part of the state. Or it may actually complete validate it.

  4. Aoine says:

    BUT WAIT – THERE’S MORE!~

Bill Colley Tweet (from the twit) today

“9/12 Delaware Patriots meeting at Millsboro FD, 7:00 PM. Guest speaker from GOOH. Recommend attendance”

So, what EXACTLY is “GOOH”/ can you scrape it off your boots??

can you chew it?? should you swallow after?? will it get you elected?

this just gets better and better..

  5. Aoine says:

@donviti – I would say they are trying to compete with Sussex Tech

Maybe they will hire a Republican State Senator to PIO and be Liasion for them too??

and not inform the voters they have the job sewen up….during the primary.

  6. anon says:

donviti – Pick your slack-jawed jaw up off the floor. Three Sussex districts have voted to raise taxes recently. Laurel is building all new schools, Bridgeville is building a new high school and Seaford is going to add on to its high school. We ain’t as backwards as y’all thunk.

Aoine – They’re absolutely trying to compete with Tech, using the sincerest form of flattery. Unfortunately, it’s about a decade too late. Perhaps even more importantly than just having the resources, Tech now has the reputation of being the school where the smartest kids (or the kids with the smartest parents) go. It will be hard for Seaford or Bridgeville (which is also planning an “academy” system) to truly compete. All they can do is try desperately to shore up their brain drain by playing a me-too game.

    P.S. I think this is GOOH: http://goooh.com

  7. MJ says:

DV – you also forgot that Cape passed a referendum to build the new high school. Yeah, we do like to educate our kids in modern buildings.

  8. Aoine says:

OK – so I checked out GooH.com – thanks for the link donviti

    so the question is:

why is politics the only job where people (recently, the right-wing nuts)want to fire the folks who know how to do it and have made it a successful career? and install rank amatuers in their place?? that do not know the art of compromise and persuasion.

There really is a drain to Sussex Tech, they have done a good job recruiting the best and the brightest from around the county – but then again, when you have the best kids, the involved parents and more money per capita in your school that other schools, how can you fail?

  9. heragain says:

Can any of you insiders answer a question about Senator Katz, he of the enthusiasm for school consolidation? Did he go to Delaware public schools? Do his kids?

  10. donviti says:

you know, eventually, those kids down there are going to educate themselves. It’s going to be at their own peril down there. Education is a bad thing

    MJ,

Isn’t cape sorta…you know…not really part of slower lower?
