Another day, another poll showing Cain leading in yet another state. Now he leads Romney in Ohio, 28% to 23%. So Cain has survived so far his abortion train wreck where he held every position on the subject in a matter of 24 hours, and the smoking white guy ad. Why is he the frontrunner? Simple. He is likeable.

Kevin Kelley’s Cardinals

Many in this area, if not the overwhelming majority of Mr. Kelley’s constituents, are Phillies fans. So that was kinda a dick move on his part for him to stomp over the hearts of still mourning Phillies fans. So tonight or tomorrow, when the St. Louis Cardinals lose the World Series, I call on Mr. Kelley to stand up in the council chambers and congratulate the Texas Rangers, while wearing a Phillies hat. Of course, I probably just jinxed the Rangers, and now the Cardinals will win and then Kelley can stand up again for the Cardinals.

“We’ll repeal Obamacare and get rid any idea that you have to have abortion coverage or contraceptive coverage. One of the things that I will talk about that no president has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the sexual liberty idea and many in the Christian faith have said, you know contraception is OK. It’s not OK because it’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be,” – Rick Santorum, taking the Christianist war against individual freedom back to contraception.

We’ll be talking Occupy Delaware, the latest Wilmington mayoral developments, Nancy Cook, Michele Rollins and much more. The Al Mascitti Show airs every week day on WDEL-1150 AM from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. I’ll be on at 10. I do believe that the masked sleepwalker may also make an appearance as well.

How Not To Be Mayor

Filed in Delaware by on October 26, 2011 26 Comments

Let’s start with the announcement rollout on Monday by Charles Potter and Dennis Williams – as I noted in my Sunday post, the Williams announcement was expected sometime this week. Yet Monday afternoon, Potter sends an email to his list declaring for Williams’ Representative seat, clearly catching Williams off-guard (see Esteban Parra’s article here).

Oh Christine. Pay your bills for once, will you?

The News Journal will be reporting tomorrow on a lawsuit that was filed last week by Christine O’Donnell seeking a declaratory judgment concerning her dispute with Jonathan Moseley, a former campaign worker on several of her previous campaigns. In a post on its Facebook page, the News Journal says Moseley, who is an attorney in Virginia, has demanded $18,250 for work and expenses he incurred this year and in 2008 in her race against Joe Biden for the Senate. Oh, but there is so much more to the story…. check inside.

Bartlet FTW!!!

You know I am a fan of all things West Wing. From 2001 until 2006 it served as an alternate fantasy world were conservatives were only evil on a Gingrich-scale level, and not evil on Palin-super-weaponized scale. So anyway, I just saw this and it instantly made my day:

It seems that Perry has decided to destroy Romney, because if he can’t make the conservatives fall in love with him, he will make sure he is just the last man standing. GOP media strategist Alex Castellanos, quoted by Politico on Perry’s coming attacks against the Mitster, says “Perry won’t just go negative. He’ll make your television bleed and beg for mercy.”
