    The answer I am looking for is what was this building. It is an old building, and it was used for a specific purpose. The name of the building comes from its shape.

    It is a one room school house, I think known as, The Octagonal School House.

    Delaware’s medieval serfs who scratched the earth for their subsistence were compelled to send their younguns there once in a while.
