Damn.

This is why the Bain issue is so horrible: the biographical contrast.

“President Obama – who, like Mitt Romney, earned a degree from Harvard and all the opportunities that affords – began his career helping jobless workers in the shadow of a closed-down steel mill. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, made millions closing down steel mills.”

Delaware 2012 Politics Weekly-Jan. 6-13

Looks like the Rethugs will have something like a statewide ticket after all. Chad Livengood’s Sunday News-Journal piece pieces it together. The R’s are calling it something like the ‘real people ticket’, which presumably is better than the ‘just some guys’ ticket. (Bleep, Daily Kos stole my line before I could even publish this.)

Tom Corbett Hates Poor People

Why is it that rethuglican elected officials hate poor people? It seems as though Tom Corbett, who usually scurries away from television cameras like a cockroach when the lights come on, has begun a war on Pennsylvania’s poor. Republican Gov. Tom Corbett has announced a major assault on the food stamp program that feeds 1.8 […]

This is Rich….

What I didn’t know about George Romney is that he was not an American. Because he was never born here.

Ron Paul Kingmaker?

Grover Norquist seems to think so… Still not sure of Paul’s plan. I pointed out earlier this week how Paul attacks everyone but Mitt Romney. But… I’m still having trouble seeing Paul as a “team player.” He’s a loose cannon with lots of power.

When Sarah Palin Agrees with You….

Filed in National by on January 12, 2012 7 Comments

…. you either kill yourself or shower with steel wool. Sarah Palin, the failed Vice Presidential nominee and half term Governor of Alaska, a woman who currently holds no official or unofficial position within the Republican Party, government, organization or association, is making demands. She wants Mitt’s tax returns and proof of a net gain of 100,000 jobs at Bain. So do I.

President Obama raised $68 million combined for his re-election campaign and the Democratic Party during the final three months of 2011, raising his 2011 total to $250 million. And we are getting general election matchups polled again, showing Obama leading all GOP candidates.
