Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results — Speaker Gilligan

Filed in Delaware by on March 12, 2012

Delaware enjoys its Democratic House of Representatives, and its Speaker. Bob Gilligan garners a surprisingly high 79% approval rating, making him the most popular politician in the state. This is surprising only because you would think not many people would know who he is, but then again, I am polling the readership of Delaware Liberal, a politically aware subset of the population. I fully expect Speaker Gilligan to brag about these numbers during the upcoming budget negotiations with Governor Markell.

Do you have approve or disapprove of the job performance of House Speaker Bob Gilligan (D)?

Strongly Approve –48%
Approve — 31%
Undecided / Unsure / Meh — 8%
Strongly Disapprove — 8%
Disapprove — 5%

Total Votes: 107. Started: March 9, 2012

Today we will poll House Minority Leader Greg Lavelle. Lavelle is retiring from the House so that he can run in the newly redesigned 4th Senate District against Senator Mike Katz (D). So since Minority Leaders really don’t have any job responsibilities that I am aware of, and since Lavelle is trying to garner a promotion to the Senate, I am going to ask about your opinion of Lavelle himself and his policies rather than his job performance.

Who is the worst blue state member of congress? Yep.
    Still Tom carper.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

Yeah, I am going to write that up. I love how Mike Castle has been replaced in Jason’s zietgeist by Tom Carper.

  3. Jason330 says:

Because he pretends to be a Democrat, Carper is worse than Castle. Now I just have to figure out how to get Christine O’Donnell to primary him.
