Does George Zimmerman Look “Bloody And Battered?

Ever since the press started reporting on Zimmerman’s injuries I fully expected to see pictures of a bloody nose, a bleeding gash on the back of his head that his attorney said should have required stitches.  I expected to see George Zimmerman looking like he was beaten up.

Watch the video.  We get to see Zimmerman’s nose, back of his head and the back of his jacket.  I can’t really tell if there are grass stains on his jacket, but at this point I’m tossing out Zimmerman’s version of events.

Via The Telegraph:

Zimmerman’s attorney, Craig Sonner, has said in more than one interview that his client’s nose was broken during the fight with Martin.

The Orlando Sentinel, citing anonymous sources, has reported that Martin grabbed Zimmerman’s head and banged it several times against the sidewalk. A statement from police said the newspaper’s story was “consistent” with evidence turned over to prosecutors.

Mr Sonner said the gash on the back of Zimmerman’s head probably was serious enough for stitches, but he waited too long for treatment so the wound was already healing. Miguel Meza, who identified himself as Zimmerman’s cousin, said Zimmerman was in “the fight of his life.”  [emphasis mine]

Does anyone see this gash?  Lord knows, we’ve heard enough about it.

Liars.  Zimmerman should be arrested this very second.  And Zimmerman and his lawyer aren’t the only liars…

From The Daily Beast:

In the eyes of many, the story about how Zimmerman came to shoot Florida teen Trayvon Martin had taken a sharp turn into Zimmerman-friendly territory this week. “With a single punch,” the Orlando Sentinel reported Monday, “Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk, leaving him bloody and battered, law-enforcement authorities told” the paper.

As Allison Samuels pointed out the next day, there were reasons to be skeptical of this account. Zimmerman’s call to 911 clearly revealed that he had been following Martin, and Martin’s girlfriend said she had been on the phone with him immediately prior to the incident, that she had encouraged Martin to run from the man following him, and that right before the shooting Martin had asked Zimmerman why he was being pursued. (Phone records obtained by ABC confirmed that Martin and his girlfriend had been talking right before the shooting.)

But none of these questions—which, it should be said, didn’t necessarily invalidate Zimmerman’s claims—mattered to the millions of people who had a eureka moment as they read the latest twist: of course Martin was the aggressor! They clicked eagerly, and soon a variety of ostensibly damning facts about Martin were racing around the Internet: [emphasis mine]

Law-enforcement authorities told the paper that Zimmerman was bloody and battered?  Did you watch the video?  More liars.

Here’s another tidbit… Trayvon’s girlfriend – you know, the one he was on the phone with when Zimmerman was following him; the one that phone records confirm this as fact – still hasn’t been contacted by police.

And here’s more blood courtesy of the official police report:

We still, after all this noise, don’t have a good idea of exactly what happened immediately prior to the shooting. There are twists yet to come and questions yet to be answered. The official police report did, after all, say of Zimmerman that “his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and the back of the head.” The disconnect between this report and the footage screams for an explanation. [emphasis mine]

There’s that blood again.

Given all this I’m ready to charge certain members of the Sanford Police and other law enforcement officials as accessories to a crime.  At this point it sure as hell looks like, Zimmerman, his lawyer, the Sanford Police, the State Attorney’s Office all have blood on their hands.  There’s your blood.
