Romney’s War On (Obama’s) Religion
Romney has a religion problem and he knows it. 22% of voters are ignorant bigots who are disinclined to vote for a Mormon. So what does Team Romney plan to do about it? they are going to turn Obama into something even worse than a Mormon, they are going to make Obama the atheist in the race.
Lawrence O’Donnell broke it down brilliantly last night and this segment is worth sitting through the mandatory 15 second commercial:
It is classic swift boating by team Romney. Take your candidate’s biggest weakness and turn it into your opponent’s biggest weakness. All they need in order to pull off this cynical scam is the backing of a few wingnut millionaires willing to churn out documentary style ads about Obama’s “secular” ambitions, and a lazy “he said/she said” based media.
That was a great analysis by O’Donnell. Right on the money.

Lawrence’s analysis shows just how intolerant and bigoted people in the USA still are. You would think that we would have progressed beyond that.
