UK Phone Hacking Scandal Crosses The Pond

Filed in National by on April 12, 2012

Prior to the Zimmerman arrest, politicos were abuzz with whether or not the mole at Fox News was found out or not. Turns out he was. Turns out he probably wasn’t that bright since he announce he was a mole while being a mole. It was all kind of weird.

More important news regarding the Murdoch media empire which is slowly going to hell in a hand basket is that an attorney is going to soon file suit for victims of the UK phone hacking scandal here in the States.

A high-profile British lawyer who has been closely involved in pursuing the hacking scandal at Rupert Murdoch’s British tabloids was quoted on Thursday as saying that he planned for the first time to sue on behalf of alleged victims in the United States, the center of Mr. Murdoch’s global media empire.

If you are unfamiliar with what’s been happening in the UK regarding Murdoch and the phone hacking scandal, The Telegraph has a good timeline of it all including a video. The scandal is filled with bribes, arrests, resignations, a newspaper closing, horses and journalists deleting voicemails on a dead girl’s phone account as the police were looking for her.
