Romney travels to Wilmington, hilarity ensues

Filed in Delaware by on April 14, 2012

There is just too much comedy in this Celia Cohen coverage of Romney’s Wilmington event to pick a paragraph out. You simply need to go to her blog and read the whole thing.

Trust me.

Ok, that was rich comedy. I think Romney must be the French word for tone-deaf.

  2. Jason330 says:

Each successive affront to the Delaware way adds another demension to Cohen’s hissy fit.

Now that was funny — and well written. It’s like a pilot script for a sit com called How to Be Republican or something.

  4. I loved that, thanks Celia! I was following the Romney appearance via Twitter and I certainly noticed from the tweets that Romney completely dissed Mike Castle. Acknowledging O’Donnell while ignoring Castle, oh my. Also, the ticket of who-who-who-office hopper is getting no attention.

  5. jpconnorjr says:

Did anybody see the expression on Castle’s face in Weigels picture? He was Royally PISSED:) Romney had a great visit in the heart of the city. He pretty much offended everybody but COD. Great stuff

  6. Bookkeeper's Son says:

But seriously, you take the time to visit a state and fail to acknowledge your party’s most respected statewide figure (but give a shout out to the clown who defeated him), and fail to recognize your campaign’s state chair? Isn’t Romney’s business experience supposed to teach him how to run a tight ship? Either his staff is incompetent, or he doesn’t listen to them.

  7. jason330 says:

Castle and Cohen probably had a few moments together after the visit in which they bitched to each other about what a knob Romney is.

  8. fightingbluehen says:

“I see one of my supporters over here, Christine O’Donnell. I didn’t know you were going to be here,” Romney said.

Of course he didn’t know ChristinePAC was going to be there. Collaboration between candidates and Super PAC wannabes is illegal….wink….wink.

  9. Jason330 says:

As if Od’s PAC has any money for any other candidates.

  10. I know BK’s Son – I have to remember to tell myself that Romney was the best candidate from that sorry lot.

  11. Liberal Elite says:

@BkS “Either his staff is incompetent, or he doesn’t listen to them.”

Or he’s given up on Delaware and is playing to a larger audience. If he’s trying to get the folks in Ohio to vote for him, it makes perfect sense to play up the one with a widely recognizable name, even if it’s a bit tainted.

I think Celia Cohen just coined a perfect epithet for Rmoney (although I might have missed an earlier instance): The Bain of my existence.
