A very small Polling Report [7.6.12]

Filed in National by on July 6, 2012

President Obama maintains his small but significant and consistent lead in Gallup and in a new You Gov poll. Not much for state polling this week, due to the mid-week Fourth of July holiday screwing everything up. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, former Governor and Senate frontrunner Tommy Thompson is about to get himself Christine O’Donnelled.

NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Gallup Tracking): Obama 48, Romney 44
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Economist/YouGov): Obama 47, Romney 43
NORTH CAROLINA–GOVERNOR (SurveyUSA for Civitas): Pat McCrory (R) 46, Walter Dalton (D) 44, Barbara Howe (L) 7
WISCONSIN–SENATOR–REPUBLICAN PRIMARY (OnMessage for Hovde): Tommy Thompson 34, Eric Hovde 29, Mark Neumann 16, Jeff Fitzgerald 7

It is an internal poll for Hovde from an outfit that I have never heard of before. And Hovde was an after thought to Neumann, who was supposed to be the real teabagger candidate. So take a large rock of salt….
