All Apologies

Filed in National by on July 14, 2012

While the Romney people are demanding apologies from President Obama, the Obama Truth Team send out this video that reminds us all that Romney isn’t talking about issues, he is just attacking and making up stuff:

Nicely done.

I posted this in another thread, but this is from a GOP strategist today:

“There is no whining in politics,” chided John Weaver, a veteran Republican strategist. “Stop demanding an apology, release your tax returns.”

I have one quibble with this ad: If I wasn’t paying attention I would have taken this as an anti-Obama ad. It needed just a little more setup explaining why Romney is being craven for saying that stuff. Otherwise it is dead on.

  2. Joe Cass says:

My apology is just the right height.

  3. Aoine says:

    Funnu thing about whining……
Obama didnt do it over the birthcert issue
But now that the tactics r turned on the Rethuglicans its not fair play- awwwwww
Should have thought about that 4 years ago

And the Newt clip at the end? – PURE GOLD!

  4. Delaware Dem says:

I agree with Puck. I kinda don’t like this one because you are giving airtime to Romney’s lies. Thankfully this is just a web ad for political junkies like us.

  5. Republican David says:

I like it. I think Mitt should steal this ad and cut it to 60 seconds. It is dynamite in Mitt’s favor. I can’t believe the Obama campaign produced it. They are admitting that we need to be less Christian and more popular with our enemies abroad while abandoning our friends.

I hope they air this one on TV not just the web in every swing state.

Of course Delusional David would like this one. It has just about the right amount of lies from his so-called faith-based candidate.

  7. X Stryker says:

That ad, as David envisions it, is great for convincing conservative Republicans to vote against Obama. Romney & Rove should spend millions airing it. This is what Romney needs to do to help Tea Party members who are undecided to make the right (wing) choice, because otherwise they might vote for Obama. It might also help Romney get the vote of his own family members.

  8. X Stryker says:

In fact, I’d say it would put Texas, Idaho, and Alabama in the “Safe GOP Hold” category.

  9. auntie dem says:

The only frame here is the music bed, otherwise it is way to subtle to make its point. Puck and DD are right and R.D. confirms it. Hope we didn’t spend much $ on this loser.

HAH! Cass, that is the loudest I have laughed in months. Thank you, that is the best!
