Democrats shouldn’t vote for Tom Carper. Period.

Filed in National by on September 27, 2012 53 Comments

Without even going into his worst in the Democratic Caucus voting record, Tom Carper is currently giving Delaware Democrats the finger on giant bill boards. Perhaps as a response to Alex Pires’ giant billboards which forcefully deliver the the message “Alex Pires,” Tom Carper has invested in bill boards which essentially deliver his message “I love enabling Republican obstruction!”

Late Night Video — In Honor of the Wilmington Fringe Festival

Tonight’s selection of from the folks at Awkward Spaceship, who provided a martini-fueled dramatic reading of the contents of a Kraft Mac and Cheese box. Seriously weird, but seriously compelling. I just hope that this isn’t how I behave after a few martinis. And if I do, please don’t tell me.

Go to the UD Sustainable Coastal Community Initiative Meeting in Lewes

Filed in Delaware by on September 26, 2012 5 Comments

The Sustainable Coastal Community Initiative is meant to be a project where the University of Delaware offers its expertise to help the state’s coastal region to identify its long-term challenges and to work with those communities to develop preferred solutions. The website link here will give you lots more information. There was a community meeting on this project in late August where the 9-12 Patriots unsheathed their tin foil to disrupt this meeting. There is another meeting tonight, and another expectation that these people will show up to disrupt it again.

Teabags proven right about Romney’s suckage – already crowing over Mitt’s loss

Filed in National by on September 26, 2012 3 Comments

They predicted it. They told the party elites that Romney was not the guy. They said that Obamacare could sink the President, but couldn’t be used by the man from Massachusetts. The eventual Romney loss was so clear to the teabags. So obvious. But did the GOP elites and shot callers listen…? Hell no. They went and forced this talking haircut on them, and now they are pissed. Pissed and vindicated. So vindicated, apparently, that they are not even waiting until election night to start talking about how vindicated they are.

Bob Casey in danger of giving away a safe D Senate seat in PA

Filed in National by on September 26, 2012 1 Comment

If we lose this one, you’ll probably be able to chalk it up to the despicable Citizens United decision. I’ve seen Smith’s ads and he is running as a stealth wingnut. Smith’s TV spots are not only frequent, they are very polished. If you didn’t keep up with politics, it would be impossible to know who was the Democrat and who was the Republican based on the ads.

More austerity, perhaps, will fix this…

Filed in National by on September 26, 2012 1 Comment

Spain is proving that austerity for austerity’s sake is the “scab refs” of economic policy. Fixing artificial debt to GOP numbers, then taking away a country’s ability to pay down its’ debt is working for someone, somewhere. Nobody knows who is winning, but somewhere it is imagined that a banker is looking at a vault full of money and that makes it all worth it.

Evan Queitsch’s Bizarro World

Filed in National by on September 26, 2012 108 Comments

Up until two days ago, I’d never heard of the impending disaster known as (cue foreboding music) Agenda 21.

Until, of course, the person who no less an authority than Rick Jensen claims to be a serious and credible candidate unveiled Agenda 21 to his starstruck readers. You all know Evan Queitsch as Christine O’Donnell’s hired muscle and current candidate for State Senate in the 11th District. He is opposing Bryan Townsend who, if Evan Queitsch is to be believed (insert joke here), is some sort of stealth double agent sent to Newark to impose the horrors of Agenda 21 upon an unsuspecting populace.

Scab Refs

Filed in National by on September 26, 2012 4 Comments

So this experiment is scab officials seems to be going well for the NFL. Although, I watched the replay of the Packers game and it looked like one of the scab refs lost track of which team had possession of the ball and called a touchdown when it was clearly a safety touchback.

The Polling Report [9.26.12]

Wow. Just look at the new polls out this morning in Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. Landslide baby. If Obama wins by those margins there, then he will also win in North Carolina, Missouri, Montana, Georgia, Arizona and South Carolina. Yes, I just said that.
