We got your weekly messages from Governor Markell and President Obama, and the latest polling out of the Republican primaries, where Romney is looking more and more like he will win the Arizona and Michigan primaries on Tuesday, but it looks like he will have a Southern problem. Thus, the primary will continue. Good.

A Comment At Kilroy’s Sparks Another Education Post

I'll post the original comment from commenter, Deliberate_1, first and then my reply. Click inside to read it. After reading this yesterday my head was spinning. First, this guy is really angry and defensive. I almost didn't respond, but then Cassandra came over last night and we got to talking. What follows is what we discussed - a mind meld of pandora and cassandra. Pull up a chair, this is going to take a while.

President Obama has a 10 to 1 cash on hand advantage over Mitt Romney. Bill Maher donated $1 million to Obama's SuperPAC. And Tucker Carlson had something shocking to say, and something I agree with.

Education Segregation: Delaware Black Caucus Threatens To Sue

While Race to the Top may be the trigger, the re-segregation of our schools was well underway long before RTTT with the help of Choice, Neighborhood School's Law, and Charters. Jea Street spells it out: "The new millennium term is 'charter school' and 'choice school. I call it segregation. There are black charter schools and there are predominantly white charter schools. Chris lost in his first run two years ago, but the district has added some areas that voted heavily for Mike Katz. Counihan has been a strong supporter of Mitch Crane and a strong advocate for marriage equality. As many of you know, Cathy Cloutier has twice ducked chances to make a big difference on behalf of equal rights for all Delawareans. It is time she was held accountable. Here is the smoking gun. When the chips were down, she was nowhere to be found. Not once, but twice. And don’t get complacent, Dori Connor. We’re coming after you as well. Lip service just doesn’t cut it any more.

Sorry Everyone.

Our servers decided that the morning rush and reading hour would be the opportune time to take a nap. But, hopefully we are back up with no further interruptions.

I just got polled in the Insurance Commissioner race.

Received a call to my cell phone, which is interesting. It was an auto message asking me if I knew who the current Insurance Commissioner was. I had the option of pushing 1 for yes or 2 for no. Obviously, I pushed 1. The second question asked me if the current Insurance Commissioner was 1) Matt Denn, 2) Karen Weldin Stewart or 3) Mitch Crane.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez (R) "has lost a hair stylist thanks to her position against gay marriage," KOB TV reports. Says Antonio Darden, a popular stylist who runs Antonio's Hair Studio in Santa Fe: "The governor's aides called not too long ago, wanting another appointment to come in. Because of her stances and her views on this I told her aides no. They called the next day, asking if I'd changed my mind about taking the governor in and I said no again." This should happen more often. Conservatives consequently expect service from those they deny rights to.
