The Republican Female Problem

Welcome to 2012 – The Year of the Women. And women are furious. And while Romney may have won last night’s debate, he’s losing women. Take a look inside at a chart from TPM. Look what happened to Romney's favorability among women once the contraception debate entered the discussion. And make no mistake, this is a debate about contraception. Oh, Republicans are trying to make this about religion, but that's not going to fly. Why? Because it's a lie.

Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results — Beau Biden

The Attorney General was smart to pass up a run at the Senate in 2010, after having much of his first term as Attorney General taken up by his deployment to Iraq. Now, after more time and accomplishment in the job, particularly including his role in the 49 state mortgage settlement, he has a record, and it seems we like that record. He has a 70% approval rating, coming in second to Lt. Governor Matt Denn as one of the most popular politicians in Delaware.

I Forgot About The Republican Debate

Just turned it on in time for a question about contraception. The audience booed and howled. Mitt and Newt got all self-righteous. Then Newt asked the moderator why Barack Obama, in 2008, wasn't asked about his support of infanticide. Oh my! They really have no shame.

Wednesday Open Thread [2.22.12]

Rick Santorum is now the stronger general election candidate against President Obama. I assume the reason for that is he inspires social theocratic fascists and is largely unknown to the rest of the general nonpartisan population, while Romney is now pretty much hated by everyone everywhere.

I Need This To Happen.

Donald Trump told CNBC he would "seriously, seriously" consider jumping into the White House race if Rick Santorum wins the GOP presidential nomination.

Jack Wells Questions Red Clay

If you aren't on Jack Wells' email list, I'm surprised - since everyone seems to be on this list! But if you're not... welcome to dueling emails. It begins with the one Mr. Wells sent to Red Clay on its hiring practices. Ms. Floore, the CFO of Red Clay responds.

Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results: Paul Clark

Karen Weldin Stewart has company on the bench of most unpopular politicians in Delaware. Paul Clark has a 51% disapproval rating, and a 30% approval rating. The rest don't know him or don't care. Still, a negative -21 point favorability spread is not something to smile about, even if this is an inaccurate non-random internet poll.
