Oh God.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) has declared Detroit to be in a state of financial emergency, paving the way for an emergency manager to be appointed to run Michigan’s largest city, as per Michigan’s law.

“Snyder said he has a candidate in mind but would not name that person, noting the city has a 10-day window to appeal that ends March 11. A hearing for a possible appeal has been set for March 12.”

When I read that quote, I knew immediately who Snyder is thinking of. Don’t you? Oh of course you do. It’s obvious. First one to guess in the comments gets the right height of trees.

Lol, like Mitt would ever set foot in Detroit. He should go with Robocop.

Rick Snyder’s scheduling is immaculate wouldn’t you say? At the hearing on the 12th they simply have to say, “Sorry, too late, the appeal failed to occur in a timely manner”.

  5. SussexWatcher says:

    Mr. Hudson,

You misunderstand. The appeal hearing date has been set in advance so there is no scramble or delay if the appeal is not filed until the last minute. That way schedules are cleared, a room is reserved, etc. It’s a proactive way to deal with it.

Mittens won’t know what to do.

There are no profits to loot and no assets to “leverage.”

From Charter Schools to Charter Cities.

Mittens will need to lay off 20,000 or so citizens for a leaner operation.

Seriously, look for more requests for Federal money, and more privatization to private vendors. Because that’s how it’s done, you know.

It is destiny for Romney to rule over the 47% (and none of the 53%).
