UPDATE: John Carney Not Giving “Bi-Partisan” Cover to Teabaggery This Morning

Filed in National by on October 10, 2013

I recently heard from Congressman Carney’s office that he is not a member of “No Labels” and is not attending this bullshit meeting aimed at undermining the President’s negotiating position.

So, while the rain pounds my window, the sun is shining in my heart.

The New York Times reports that 26 House Democrats are meeting this morning to Republicans to weaken the President’s bargaining position. Does anyone know if John Carney is on on this?

Democrats showed their own cracks. Twenty-six House Democrats planned to attend a bipartisan event on Thursday morning with the group No Labels, calling for negotiations to start immediately, a challenge to the president and to Democratic leaders who say they will not negotiate until the government reopens and the debt ceiling is lifted.

If he is in thsi meeting to burnish his bi-partisan bona fides, I will absolutely freak out.
