Two more 2nd amendment martyrs in Nevada

Filed in National by on October 21, 2013

This is okay because, otherwise tyranny.

Two people are dead and two children critically wounded after gunfire erupted Monday at a Nevada middle school, Sparks police said.

The Reno Gazette-Journal, citing Sparks City Manager Shawn Carey, said the shooter was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“We believe the suspect has been neutralized,” the Sparks Police Department said on its website, without further details.

Angela Rambo, spokeswoman for Renown Regional Hospital, said the hospital had received two male patients, both minors, and both were in critical condition.

Reno deputy chief Tom Robinson said there were 150 to 200 personnel that secured the school and the surrounding area. Robinson, addressing parents during a press conference, said “I can tell them to rest assured. The schools are safe. The rest of the city is safe.”

I gave up all hope after Sandy Hook, there will never be effective gun control in America and Americans are numb to gun related massacres, murders and mass execution like Columbine. Neither do I believe any of the NRA’s propaganda as spouted by the hated Wayne LaPierre, that famed good man with the gun never, ever seems to be around when needed.

  2. Jason330 says:

I agree. This is the reality we have chosen.

  3. AQC says:

It is a sickening and sad reality.

  4. Dorian Gray says:

Agreed. It’s a settled issue. The 2nd amendment is vague enough and guns are too entrenched. The fact that guns nearly always kill people in the home (accidents/suicide) or are used to commit crime is irrelevant. Rubes with little intellectual prowess love the artificial power of guns. This country is full of rubes. Rubes also can’t be swayed by facts… so there’s nothing to do other than to accept it.

  5. Jason330 says:

Accept it. Be vigilant about where your children play, and try to pick communities and workplaces where the probability of being shot is slightly lower.

  6. Dana says:

If you believe that the Second Amendment is “vague,” as Mr Gray has asserted, perhaps you might offer a Constitutional Amendment:

    Amendment XXVIII

Section 1: The Second Amendment to this Constitution is hereby repealed.
Section 2: (a) Private ownership of operable firearms is hereby prohibited. The Congress may allow individual, registered collectors to own and possess individually registered antique firearms, if such firearms are in a permanently disabled condition.
(b): Neither the government of the United States nor any of the governing subdivisions therein are required to pay compensation for firearms confiscated, destroyed or rendered permanently disabled under the provisions of Section 2 (a).
Section 3: The manufacture, possession, purchase or sale of operable firearms of any type is prohibited within the United States, save for those registered companies manufacturing firearms for the Armed Forces of the United States, or authorized federal, state and local law enforcement agencies certified by the Department of Justice.
Section 4: The Congress shall have the power to enforce this amendment through the passage of appropriate legislation.

Of all of the people I have read complaining about the Second Amendment, stating that it is outmoded or unclear, I have yet to ever see anyone state that the proper procedure is to amend the Constitution. Surely, with the influence the Delaware Liberals have with the congressional delegation from the First State, you could urge one of them to consider seriously something like what I have suggested above.

  7. Jason330 says:

There is no call for jokes.

  8. Dana says:

Mr 330, I am not joking. Every time something like this happens, the good people of the Delaware Liberal start to complain about the status of the law under the Second Amendment. If that is what you believe, shouldn’t lobbying to amend or repeal the Second be on your agenda?
