From that sign, the welcome sign see at the state line on most Delaware roads, there are actually three slogans for Delaware…. 1) Small Wonder, 2) The First State, and 3) Home of Tax Free Shopping.
And then there were the new signs from the 2000’s…
….we get a fourth slogan… 4) It’s good being first.
The older “Small Wonder” signs have been replaced with even more generic “Welcome to Delaware, Jack A. Markell, Governor” signs ahead of a new Tourism and Marketing Project that will be revealed today at the Brandywine Creek State Park.
