‘Bulo’s Fave Tunes: August, 2015

More better music this month. Lotsa Americana and roots music this time.  Most of which you probably haven’t heard. So, hear here!:

Gotta say, this one reminds me a lot, a lot, of Steve Forbert’s great ‘Romeo’s Tune’. This one’s pretty damn good too, sounds like a hit to me:

We justa gotta rock out on the way out:

Hearty agreement on Nathanial Rateliff, SOB is the killer but the rest of the CD is good too. Manages to capture that old school R&B sound right down to the slightly overdriven sound of analog tape. Notes of Sam & Dave with some JB on the side. Brass is arranged Blues Brothers style and the gospel chorus bits border on haunting.
