She was even a member of IPOD. Uh, that alone should DQ her in a D primary.
Plus, anyone Schwartzkopf’s for, I’m against. She’s been his campaign treasurer since 2002. Which is why she’s his candidate.

Looks like someone wants to hold office and realized that being an R and now working for Pete is a dead-end track in Delaware. This disqualifies her in my mind, and I think had more seen this, the results of your poll might have been different.

Maybe there is an Anti-Bethany Hall-Long vote out there? I sorta doubt it, because BHL (being very John Carney-esque) doesn’t exactly excite passions one way or the other, but it is possible.

I didn’t vote because “none of the above” was not an option.

Do any of these folks actually have position statements out on anything yet? BHL has a voting record on statewide issues, but most of the others do not, correct?

Is Kathy McGuiness actually eligible to run? She doesn’t meet the residency requirement…

Perhaps she could run against Ernie Lopez.

I don’t think that would happen. She and Lopez are close.

Kathy McGuiness is not a Republican… not sure why “Delaware Dem” is putting that forth as fact when it is not true.
She’s not a Republican…currently. If you look at her registration history, she’s not really a loyal ANYthing. Here’s the roundup from the Cohen article:
Registration Record
September 1995 — Republican
February 1997– Democrat
March 2009 — Republican
September 2011 — off the rolls
June 2013 — Independent Party of Delaware
September 2013 — Democrat

Tell me why D’s should support her? Because she’s Pete’s treasurer? I’ll pass.

So, McGuiness isn’t a Democrat because she hasn’t always labeled/registered herself as one? By that measure, should we all be voting for O’Malley as POTUS?
To each their own. I’m not supporting O’Malley, nor am I supporting McGuiness. You would think, though, that the first qualification for someone running for a more or less meaningless post in a D primary would be someone who has consistently been a D.
I mean, IPOD in 2013? We at least deserve an explanation.

Personally . I am very bothered by registration change to Republican in MARCH 2009. Why change just AFTER Barrack Obama has been sworn in AS 44TH president. That is shocking. Is she a racist ?

…..and Bernie Sanders was a independent socialist until what? 5 minutes ago?
I am curious what she was registered as (if at all) during her work in Pete’s campaign.
She has been a mixed bag in Rehoboth. She went along with the town on Ocean Outfall but opposed the f’d up building code changes.

No, she finally realized that he was not going to run the country, but be a puppet!
Would it be unfair of me to point out that McGuiness is Sneaky Pete’s candidate?

“This means either nothing, or something.”
That is my stab at being an actual journalist. I’m ensconced in my ivory tower of 4th estate objectivity.
Here, courtesy of Celia Cohen (!?) is McGuiness’ checkered registration history:
