It is desperate. This is an extension of Williams’ ongoing appeal to race, because he has nothing else. He’s been producing videos about progress in the city (often with images not owned by him) on the taxpayer dime. (And where is Council President Gregory’s oversight of that?) But this BS he’ll pay for.
What ? Williams was endorsed by The Building Trades. What non union?

My guess is the unions would have even been turned off by this bullshit. Plus, they have far better campaign literature designers.

Should I be worried that Williams is going after Kelley and not Young?
Williams is going after Purzycki and Kelly as the white candidates. It’s really disgusting. It’s also pathetic – because he’s running on the last mayoral race’s turn-out numbers. This ain’t the last race.
That said, all of the candidates have only one criticism against Eugene – he’s young. That’s it. Not kidding – that is it. They don’t go after his policies (and he’s had his policies out there, in writing, for a long time) or his ideas.

The short answer is yes, you should be worried Williams isn’t going after Young, but not surprised. If Williams is concerned about Eugene (and he might be) he’ll go after him. Kelley and Purzycki are the front runners according to TNJ, so the reason for the attack makes sense. However, Williams is a narcissist, this latest display of an uncreative racist door hanger isn’t really surprising anyone, right?
On September 13th Eugene will politely congratulate Kelley and a month later start his campaign for State Rep.
Kelley and Purzycki are the “frontrunners” mainly because more white people answer landlines for pollsters, and more black candidates are running to split the black vote.
This gambit proves Williams is an imbecile. He has to win the black vote, not the white vote, and stirring up racial resentment against white candidates won’t steer black voters to him instead of other black candidates.
Williams’ campaign theme song should be the Scarecrow’s “If I Only Had a Brain.”
Oh, and Irwin: Give it a rest. Run your ads for your candidate on paid media. Anyone who doesn’t realize who you are isn’t thinking very hard, capice?

Per TNJ’s poll Kelley received the highest support among African-Americans. I think he’s doing ok without any fluffing from me.
You’re comparing apples and oranges. I don’t see anywhere in the “report” that provides analysis of the phone habits of primary voters in Wilmington, DE. The same group of people decide primary elections. Primary Election voters are a demographic.
The only data in the “report” pertaining to primary election polls is, “Adults between 25 and 29, a group in which 65.7% were wireless-only.” Some candidates may give more attention to voters based partially on race, but an older age is what makes a voter most appealing.
The bottom line is primary voters are older, and more likely to have landlines.
A basic fact like percentage of landline ownership affects everything, including availability for primary polling.
Per TNJ’s poll, the top six candidates were within the margin of error. If that’s how you’re reading the poll — and how Kelley is reading it — don’t start measuring for drapes yet.
So is that desperate failed turd of a Mayor accusing Mike Castle of being a racist and trying to connect him to Trump? Castle hasn’t endorsed Trump specifically because of Trump’s rhetoric. Desperate. Turd. Fail.
The financial reports are out and guess what Eugene Young and Mike P $995 apart in cash with 30 days left.
Well after burning through 200, 000 of campaign funding what has Mike to show for his campaign? A bunch of signs in forty acres? Someone said he spends like a drunken democrat.
Eugene has however raised more then Williams, Gregory, Griffiths and Marshall combined.
So I guess Eugene has support when it comes to people voting with their pocket books as well as their time.
Lots of quiet, low key Kevin Kelley support around the city. I think its Kelley’s race to lose at this point. Other candidates have areas of support, and signage, but Kelley has support and name recognition across every section. Money alone doesn’t win elections.
Anyone who read the TNJ’s PPP poll and its base data who didn’t come away with the conclusion that Kelley was ahead was either fooling themselves or being paid to fool others.
That doesn’t mean he’ll win. That means he was ahead a month ago. There was lots of campaign to go at that point, and a lot of undecideds. But dismissing the poll is foolish.
It’s not dismissing the poll to note that its margin of error was 5.6%, a figure double the size of Kelley’s “lead.” Anyone who doesn’t realize that doesn’t understand polling.
What about Steven Washington, Independent Candidate for Mayor, City of Wilmington, does he matter or have a chance to win big? After all he is already on the ballot for the November 8th general election. No one seems to include or focus on his platform of… Inclusion, Education, Appreciation, & Communication. He could be the next Mayor, and I personally like his platform, and so do others from what I have seen and heard. The Democratic machine could be in trouble of breaking down with the divide of support amongst the Democratic candidates, especially after the September 13th primary. Starting September 14th the election race will be between #www.WashingtonforWilmington.com and one of the eight Democratic candidates.

What about Seven Washington? He isn’t a factor in the primary and no one knows who he is. He’ll have to change that in a pretty big way once we get to the general.
