White House Pushing Transgender Ban In Military.  They’re gonna purge patriots placing their lives on the line? Really? I smell legal action.

Texas Voter ID Laws Tossed Out. Not for the first time. The courts are all that stand between us and massive voter suppression. Senate Rethugs will push through as many judges as possible, Trump or no Trump.

Rethugs Using Racist Dog-Whistles To Win Virginia Governor’s Race.  Claim D Ralph Northam has turned his back on his heritage b/c of his call to have racist monuments come down. Who knows? It might just work.

Russia Investigation Coloring Senate’s Fall Session.  Trump’s picking fights with more Senate R’s.  Mark my words. He’s not making it through the year.

About That Black Guy At The Trump Rally.  He’s insane. Totally insane.  Don’t believe me? Check out his website.  And he’s…just a few feet from the President.

Climate Change Will Hit Trump Country Hardest.  “There’s no such thing as climate ch-(gurgling sound)”.  Willfully misinformed to the end.

DNC Ignores Grassroots Efforts, Lags In Fundraising.  I know this stuff is obvious to many of us, but not to the ossified leadership:

It’s a simple principle, one that Democratic candidates from Bernie to Elizabeth Warren to Obama understood, but which the institutional Democratic Party now seems incapable of grasping: People are motivated to act when they feel like part of something larger than themselves — and when they understand that their participation in that larger something makes a real difference. The Democratic Party’s woes are basic symptoms of the failure to understand that immutable reality.

What do you want to talk about?

  1. I know. Wanted to wait for more info. Didn’t want to jump to conclusions.

What does it say on the windshield? Moon-something I can’t make out.

I’m inclined to treat this as vandalism until shown otherwise. Lots of people who commit these acts also try to make it look like something else — I recall the racist graffiti found in Lindsay Bonistall’s apartment.

With all due respect to dumpster fires and train wrecks, isn’t is about time that we start referring to any disastrous situation as a “Trump administration”?

As in, “This [fill in blank] is a total Trump administration of a mess.”

    Excellent point.

“Thanksgiving was bad enough before Grandma reached in her pants an threw literal shit at Cletus,l but after that it was a total Trump Administration.”

Looking across the country, you can see women in key positions. Democratic women governors exist right now. Why focus on governors? I like the experience of governors when thinking about the transition to president, I think governor to president is an easier “slide”. Why a woman? As I listen to my women Democratic colleagues, I hear a yearning for the opportunity to lead with a woman’s point of view. I understand this yearning. I also think it is a winning strategy going into 2020. Not by itself, but as part of a cluster of Democratic proposals targeting what the electorate is also yearning for. My hope is that this is not a shift to the right, which is already dismaying, but a bold shift to the left. I think the yearning of the country lies there. College education by various means; strong public schools; healthy families; universal housing by various means; meaningful participation in the economy; getting big brother off the necks of the electorate; rational national defense; community policing; and more. Why not Hillary Clinton? The short response is that she’s had two tries and has come up empty both times. That’s bad for her but worse for us should we decide to go with her again (I won’t). I think we should put a spotlight on other Democratic leaders, men AND women and come to the best rational choice for POTUS in 2020.
