Desperate White House Releases Schiff’s Memo
The White House, under pressure about Jared Kushner’s inability to get security clearance as well as facing questions about Trump’s half-assed ideas about school security, tried to change the subject Saturday afternoon by letting Democrats release a redacted version of their rebuttal to the infamous Nunes memo, which you’ll recall was the biggest dud since Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone’s vault.
This is interesting because it shows that the White House viewed the memo’s release not just as a political maneuver but a publicity maneuver as well. As is so often the case with this White House, they played themselves. Nobody cares anymore.
