Every member of the House GOP folded and voted for Trump’s More Money for Billionaires budget. Every one of them should be forced to answer the question, “Why do billionaires need more money?”

As bad as things are, they’d be a lot worse but for Musk and Co. personifying the Dunning-Kruger effect. For example, they have belatedly realized that having Musk run it makes everything he’s done illegal. So they’re pretending someone else is running DOGE, and it took them several days to find someone they can make believe is in charge. Signs are good that judges aren’t falling for it.

An unknown but deadly disease is on the loose in the Congo. I suggest RFK Jr. visit for a hands-on assessment.

If you thought Florida couldn’t get any worse, think again. Ron DeSantis – ‘memba him? – doesn’t want Trump’s endorsed shitbag to be the next governor. He thinks his loonball wife should get the job. Rising sea levels have their silver lining.

The floor’s yours.

On the local journalism front, the News Journal gave a big photo spread to the opening of a P.F. Chang’s – basically Panda Express with cloth napkins – at Christiana Mall.

I can’t read their website any more – it’s 80% national/celebrity garbage, and the remaining local copy is about 5-10 sentences long. Their reporters aren’t writing stories anymore; they’re jazzing up week-old news briefs. The idea of in-depth coverage of anything is long gone.

Spotlight Delaware and Delaware Call are doing good work. I only check the TNJ for these news roundups.

So are WHYY and First State Media, as the News-Journal becomes a daily version of those weekly ‘shoppers’. Anybody remember ‘Town Talk’?

            El Som,
The old editor strikes again: I believe you meant to write Delaware Public Media.

Hey Al. I know you are a “Democracy is So Over” skeptic. So what’s the tipping point for you?

    • Alby

Democracy has been over since 1994, when Newt Gingrich declared that Republicans would no longer compromise with Democrats on anything. Without compromise between opposing parties, the system of government we called “democracy” ended.

      Tipping point meaning what?

Went to Lenny’s yesterday, the famed Jewish breakfast/deli favored by Phillies fans. It’s a wonderfully unpretentious friendly place. You get a complimentary latke with your sandwich, plus legit Jewish pickles and a great cole slaw with just the slightest hint of horseradish, a bracing counterpoint to the sweetness of the slaw.

We’re off to Dunedin today to catch the Phils vs the Blue Jays.

    Excellent question.

#2 why does Muskrat need the data of all Americans? That must be stopped as well.

to be able to cross reference democratic voters so to target them specifically
