    You skipped the light fandango?

  2. As much as I like Procol Harum, reasonable people can agree that ‘Whiter Shade Of Pale’ is one of the most overplayed songs of all time.

And I hatehatehate the orchestral version of ‘Conquistador’. Don’t begrudge them the $$’s they made off it, though…

In my experience unkown songs and overplayed songs are, in turn, unknow and overplayed for good reasons.

    Happy (Re)Birthday Jesus!!!

  5. Jason: We’d put you on the Arden Concert Gild payroll–if we weren’t an all-volunteer organization.

El Somnambulo’s nom de plume Symphony Steve has this great band at the Gild Hall this coming Saturday:

  6. Was out running errands this morning when David Dye played this great song, also from ‘A Salty Dog’:

Whiter shade is the harum equal to free bird. As with many orchestral arrangements, it is a all or nothing proposition to the ear of the listener. Who or what is on tap for next week?
