As much as I like Procol Harum, reasonable people can agree that ‘Whiter Shade Of Pale’ is one of the most overplayed songs of all time.
And I hatehatehate the orchestral version of ‘Conquistador’. Don’t begrudge them the $$’s they made off it, though…
In my experience unkown songs and overplayed songs are, in turn, unknow and overplayed for good reasons.

Whiter shade is the harum equal to free bird. As with many orchestral arrangements, it is a all or nothing proposition to the ear of the listener. Who or what is on tap for next week?
