The News journal finally unpacked Carper's sneaky-ass voting record in an actual article, noting that Carper voted to break a Democratic filibuster on the 2006 confirmation of Bush nominee Justice Samuel Alito - then cravenly notched a meaningless vote against Alito in the full Senate. The NJ has never attempted to explain Carper's sneaky, shithead, methods for undercutting Democratic strategy. This kind of earned media is priceless.

Avoiding specifics, Senator Tom Carper blew his chance to make a statement, and instead managed to roll out a couple of sentences of vacuous buzzwords and procedural bullshit.
