Keep an Eye on This Guy

Want to see what a natural politician looks and sounds like? Spend 4 minutes watching this video of Beto O’Rourke, Ted Cruz’s opponent, responding at a town hall to a young man who doesn’t like NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. O’Rourke doesn’t flinch, doesn’t straddle the fence and doesn’t sound like a mealy-mouthed politician in defending the players. The video has gone viral despite the cheesy music.

The latest polls show him closing to within 4 points of Cruz despite lower name recognition. He’s raising lots of money through small donations, though (my household has chipped in). Expect to hear this guy’s name more as November approaches.

Reminds me a bit of Obama when he was on the rise. Not quite as polished, but give it some time.

Good stuff. A Dem who doesn’t accept the Fox News premise of the question. How revolutionary

What makes the Fix News types so obsessed with NFL player protest besides that it’s an easy dog white for white rubes to pour some racist venom on black athletes? Or is that it? I mean, I hate pro football and the NFL but it has nothing to do with player protest

White rubes stubbornly refuse to reckon with the racism in this country. Anything they can do to change the subject…

They love the troop as much as Winston loved Big Brother at the end of 1984. So they make this protest about “the troops”. But if an undocumented veteran gets deported and separated from her or his family rubes don’t care about the troop.

We should parade you and some other DE leftists around schools as an example of what drugs do to the brain. We’d solve the heroin epidemic in a week.

So right on cue, this mook changes the subject.

It was wildly off topic, but at least it was also incoherent and lazy.

    Extremely poor effort.
