Breaking: Mike Pence Wrote the New York Times Editorial
Several days ago Vice President Mike Pence used an intermediary to contact New York Times op-ed page editor Jim Dao.
Through the go-between, Mike Pence expressed interest in writing an explosive piece for the paper, describing a “resistance” to President Trump within the government that works overtime to protect the United States from the president’s worst impulses.
The result, published on the New York Times’ website on Wednesday, prompted speculation all across Washington about who the official is until it became obvious to everyone that it was Mike Pence.
Ed Note: Who cares if it really was Pence. I love that thinking it was Pence is driving Trump (more) insane.

It can’t be Pence. Didn’t mention Jesus once. And he doesn’t pronounce that hay-ZEUS, either.
It’s fun to think it’s Pence, but the NYT says the author could lose his job at the WH. The VP cannot be fired, so it’s not Pence.
Lawrence O’Donnell made a strong case for Dan Coats.
It is fun to think it is Pence. The “can’t be fired” thing could be a red herring.
NYT didn’t say the person could be fired. It said their “job could be in jeopardy.”
I’m agreeing with Lawrence O’Donnell. I think it’s Coats.
Reminds me of an old joke:
“My uncle thinks he’s a chicken!”
– “You should take him to a psychiatrist ”
“I know – but we need the eggs!”
LOL! I love jokey jokes.

No medals of commendation for you guys – only shackles and prison food.

THat was great. Spot on.
@p “The VP cannot be fired”
But he can be impeached. The current congress likely would vote to impeach, but which of the Senate Republicans would come to his defense at trial? Would the Dems vote to save him??
I think you need 2/3rds in the Senate to convict, so it is moot.
It’s not moot at all. If it came down to Trump vs. Pence, do you really think Pence would win that fight? If Pence really was shown to be the op-ed writer, who would rescue him at trial? Coons? Carper? I sure don’t see the republicans having the courage…
Jesus Christ, not today mom.
My fantasy scenario, playing out between Election Day and swearing in of the new D-majority Congress, has Trump and Pence resigning or being impeached, leaving us with two years of a Paul Ryan presidency.
When the R’s wake up on Nov. 7, they may realize that’s their best-case scenario, and the lame-duck D’s would be hard-pressed to argue that the country would be better off with the Big Orange.
It was Pence.

Well, he does have the most to gain…
And yes. It seems very likely.
Break out the popcorn for the impeachment fight.
My money is on Obuma…
I’d be surprised if you had any real money.
