Who is your VP pick?
The VP spot should go to the person who comes in 2nd. That campaign has all the juice and enthusiastic supporters, keep them working, right? But nobody listens to me.
So who do you like for the VP spot? I like Mayor Pete, Senator Harris, Senator Warren and Joe Biden could actually make a good VP. I guess if I had to pick one from them, I think Mayor Pete has the go for the jugular instinct a VP needs.
Lev Davidovich Bronstein
Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti being unavailable.
As an Italian I’m partial to Sacco & Vanzetti. But in this instance. One person. I’ll take Trotsky.
Plus they’ve been dead for ages.
Dems are going to lose, who cares?
Like them all but favor Mayor Pete, regardless of what happens we will be seeing more of him.
If we don’t get a female Presidential candidate, I sure as hell want a female VP…. I like Senator Harris or Warren… they will round out the very moderate Biden
Depends entirely on who the nominee is. If it is Biden, the VP is either Harris or Abrams.
If it is Sanders, the nominee is Tulsi Gabbard or Elizabeth Warren, though he could use Harris or Abrams too.
If it is Harris, I think the VP pick is Buttigieg.
If it is Warren, I think Harris or Abrams or Buttigieg or Castro.
Yeah, Tulsi Gabbard. Right.
Biden. Make him VP for life.
Can you provide me with a few examples of Pete going for the jugular?
I get the feeling that I’m supposed to be a dick and mean that question in a condescending way where I’m trying to belittle someone else who posts here regularly. So I apologize. But I’m asking sincerely. So far he has seemed to me like he plays things pretty safe. That’s not a criticism, just an observation. And I’m open to evidence to the contrary.
Everything is relative I guess. In comparison to the rest of the field, Pete’s talking about Trump’s fake disability feels like going for the jugular.
That’s a good example. I was certainly glad to hear him put it in such direct terms. But I want to hear a LOT more of that from him. And if I’m being fair I suppose do want that instinct reserved for direct attacks on Trump and his Republican enablers for now and not unleashed on primary opponents. So I guess his hands are partially tied.
I’m sticking with Trotsky.
Interesting fact from the chat above. Sacco, Vanzetti and Trotsky were all murdered by the state!
Sherrod Brown. Big on working families and can eat into red state strongholds in the Midwest like his owe state Ohio.
I agree. Depending on the nominee Brown could be an excellent choice.
I always wonder though how many of these candidates would even accept the VP nomination though. I feel like the DNC should make nominees sign a pledge stating that they are willing to serve as VP if they don’t win the primary. They always talk about “Public Service” but when they don’t get to be top dog they want to take their ball and go home.
My only hesitation would be that we might lose the Senate seat. It’s Ohio, after all.
