The Leading Enablers Of The Opioid Epidemic. Absolutely essential reporting from the Washington Post, utilizing a DEA database that tracked every pain pill sold. BTW, did you know that, from 2006-2012, Delaware ranked #10 in the per capita consumption of opioids? You do now. 45 pills per person. And, yes, it was much more pronounced in Sussex County.
Private Prisons To Taxpayers: Pay Our Legal Bills. Because, of course, we’re ALL in agreement that requiring migrant detainees to work for a dollar a day or less is totally reasonable. As is placing them in solitary confinement should they refuse. Hey, otherwise, they’d have to pay custodians and the like. Or pay detainees the minimum wage. Who wants to do that when slave labor is so much cheaper?
Progressive Challenges D0-Nothing Black Incumbent in Safe House District in Ohio. Might this be an instructional roadmap to challenge another do-nothing black incumbent?
Mayor Pete Didn’t Do Much To Fix South Bend’s Policing Problem. Hey, I like him too. But he’s let this problem fester and grow.
A Noose, Yes, A Noose, Found Hanging At Millers Road Home Depot. It’s a serious noose, expertly tied. There can be no doubt that employees saw it, but did nothing.
What do you want to talk about?
Sen. Trey Paradee made sure that a museum that proudly flies the confederate battle flag lost their Grant-In-Aid funding this year. Good for him:

Here’s the literal money quote from Paradee:
“It’s private property. They’re free to leave that monument up and that flag up but I don’t think Delaware taxpayers should be responsible for that.”
Yeah, this is nice work. Same the same bit this morning.
I guarantee that if the museum markets this to right-wing groups and starts a GoFundMe page it will take in more than the $14,000 the state would have given.
Now if only this idea that taxpayers shouldn’t be responsible for funding private enterprises could be applied to Wesley…
It has always disturbed me that every return Day our statewide elected officials and party leaders climb into carriages under the Confederate flag. It has always been offensive to me. I’ve been disappointed that leaders in the party and our US congresspeople have never objected. State legislators lining up on the road near by have often complained. Kudos to Paradee for taking the next step.
WTF WDEL?
“Home Depot investigating after customers say they found noose in Brandywine Hundred store”
Customers say they found noose?
Why not, simply – “Home Depot investigating after customers find a noose in Brandywine Hundred store”
Is telling the simple truth against the law now or something?
Remember Tawana Brawley? Media corporations do.
