Pelosi and Lisa Blunt Rochester’s Dismissiveness Strategy is Backfiring

Filed in National by on July 16, 2019

I read this at TPM re Pelosi, but it really fits for our lazy-ass, do-nothing Congressperson, Lisa Blunt Rochester.

Top elected Democrats are simply too dismissive of this hunger and this anger for oversight, for accountability and … yes, for confrontation. As MA himself notes, you’ve got a basic dynamic in which Democrats, even with the House, simply don’t have much power, not enough to meet the expectations and sense of urgency of many of their supporters. (snip)

But dismissiveness is backfiring. It’s not modulating expectations or channelling them in productive directions. It’s giving a substantial percentage of Democrats the impression that she doesn’t see the problem, that she doesn’t know why people have such a sense of urgency.

Exactly my point regarding LBR. I get that you are virtually powerless, but there is no point in constantly projecting lazy powerlessness.

“YOU LIE!” Remember that one? (It was excused as well)

You’re right. “lazy-ass” isn’t really accurate. It is more correct to say cowardly. “Go along to get along”

If she doesn’t think that it is time to fight and confront this administration, there will never be a time to fight this admistration.
