When Biden is out, who will pick up the (always wrong) DC insider’s vote?

Filed in National by on August 26, 2019

This just in…

Joe Biden promises he isn’t losing it.

“I want to be clear, I’m not going nuts,” the former vice president said during a campaign event in New Hampshire. “I’m not sure whether it was the medical school or where the hell I spoke. But it was on the campus.”

It’s gotten to the point where Biden’s own advisors are reportedly getting nervous about his growing pile of gaffes on the campaign trail.

Some think it will be Beto who will scoop up the centrist punditry. Other’s think it could be Harris. If it is one of those two and not someone terrible like Klobuchar, it will demonstrate that Bernie and Warren have had an impact on the thick headed, always wrong DC consensus. I mean, either one of those two would be better than Biden.

Monmouth Univ Polling puts Biden in 3rd place now.

    Sanders 20%
    Warren 20%
    Biden 19%

  2. Delaware Dem says:

Warren. She impressed the establishment insiders, and well, everyone else, out at the DNC meeting in San Francisco. If Biden fades or drops out, it is Warren v. Bernie and Warren wins.

You really think that the large donors, DC consultants and talking heads will be able to get behind a candidate they regard as a socialist? I don’t.

      • Delaware Dem says:

She’s not a socialist. Hell, even Bernie is not advocating for socialism, even though he stupidly says he is. He is advocating for social democracy. So is Warren, though Warren has always gone out of her way to declare that she is not a socialist and is for regulated capitalism. I’m telling you, Warren will be the nominee.

  3. Brian says:

Biden’s “I’m not going nuts” was reminiscent of Christine O’Donnell’s “I’m not a witch” and Marianne Williamson’s “I’m not a new age nut”. If you have to say it, then you’ve already been defined.

  4. The crosstabs of that Monmouth poll, according to one analyst, show that Joe is losing some working-class voters to Bernie. Makes sense when you think about it.

    • jason330 says:

Joe has openly courted the big money, DLC, third-way, circa-1990 Dem vote. When Hillary did it, voters stayed home in droves. I don’t why someone as smart and experienced as Biden thinks he would be different.

I’m really actually starting to feel sorry for Joe, which is fucking crazy.

      • He has a new commercial out. Already exploiting his family tragedies. In the name of his modest health care proposal. That’s pretty much the Last Train to Palookaville.

Joe must go, and it’s hard not to notice the gaffes are now more the result of poor old man memory, not just his usual proclivity to mess it up. He should be worried, he’s losing it and it shows. Agree with Delaware Dem, Bernie was a fool to self identify himself as a Socialist. Hope Warren prevails, she’s made mistakes but they all do at some point.

  6. Alby says:

“he’s losing it and it shows.”

This, big-time. He’s a broken man being shuffled around so his campaign team can keep their jobs. Even more pathetic than Jeb Bush was in 2016.
