A new Des Moines Register poll has Warren 2 points ahead of Biden in the Iowa caucuses.
A key element of the whistleblower story is being misrepresented. The media keep describing it as Trump’s attempt to get Ukraine to investigate Biden, when they should be saying that Trump wanted the country to investigate a “scandal” it already knew was fake. In short, pull a Trump.
The Sackler family, owners of Purdue Pharma — can we call them Sacklers of shit? — are threatening to pull out of a multi-billion-dollar deal to settle multiple civil lawsuits with the states as the company declares bankruptcy. The Sacklers, who are worth $13 billion as a family, want immunity to lawsuits against them personally or no deal.
For a guy who’s such a friend of business, Cory Booker isn’t getting much love or money from Wall Street, where they’re the same thing. It’s so bad he’s warning he’ll have to suspend his campaign if the spigot doesn’t open soon.
Sounds as if your grandkids will have to explain to their kids what a bird was. A new study estimates North America’s bird population has dropped by one-third over just the past 50 years.

Actually, the drop in bird population is thought to be related to the drop in insect population.
