I don’t think the PGE fiasco is about fire safety at all. It can’t possibly be more safe to have 500,000 people without power running around with generators, propane lamps, kerosene heaters etc. I think its about holding people hostage until they get some type of deal to avoid liability in the lawsuits for the last set of fires.
