Song Of The Day 10/29: Frank Zappa-Peaches En Regalia
If you feel so inclined, light up a thick one and sink into this:
LOS ANGELES — Tens of thousands of Los Angeles residents were ordered out of their homes Monday, joining almost 200,000 Northern Californians previously forced to flee sprawling wildfires fueled by high winds and drought conditions. "We want people to now enact predetermined plans, grab their belongings, their medications, take care of their pets and be able to get out of that area in a safe and calm manner," Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Erik Scott said. "This is a very dynamic fire and all residents ... need to be vigilant and stay informed."
Washington (CNN) Democratic Sen. Chris Coons on Monday shunned chants of “lock him up” aimed at President Donald Trump by the crowd at World Series Game 5. “I have a hard time with the idea of a crowd on a globally televised sporting event chanting ‘lock him up’ about our President. I frankly think the office of the President deserves respect, even when the actions of our President at times don’t,” Coons told CNN’s John Berman on “New Day.”
Donald Trump's face dropped at Game 5 of the World Series last night when he realized that he was being booed by baseball fans at the 41,000 capacity stadium. In the build up to Sunday's match between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros at the Nationals Park stadium in D.C., fans cheered and applauded as players stepped up to their bases. But the atmosphere turned when President Trump appeared on the jumbotron. The chorus of cheers turned into thundering boos when the commander-in-chief appeared on-screen beside First Lady Melania Trump and a group of Republicans—including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida.Joe Scar had a big sad about the booing, but fuck that guy. Fuck Trump & baseball for that matter.
