Song of the Day 12/4: Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, “It’s All Going to Pot”
Weed-culture icon Willie Nelson told a TV interviewer the other day that he’s given up smoking marijuana because his 86-year-old lungs won’t take it anymore. So in tribute to America’s Secretary of Cannabis, here’s him and ol’ Merle paying tribute to Mother Nature. The video was made in the recording studio, and I don’t think that’s hand-rolled terbacky Willie is smoking. This was the single from their final album together, “Django and Jimmie,” released in 2015.
Absolute stoner legend. Maybe the greatest of all time. Respect.

Just to be clear, I don’t approve of carving up mountains. It would have to be a Vegas-style Mt. Rushmore. Probably in Vegas.
Agree all the way around including the fact the it’s a conceptional, figurative monument. Pantheon I guess is a better word.
