14. The saddest song of the year. David Berman (of Silver Jews fame) released this album, and committed suicide soon thereafter. The album is basically a suicide note.

Love Jessica Pratt, who I think I first heard about in one of your posts. Her voice can be a little annoying at first, but I got past that pretty quick. From yesterday’s 30-21 list, Fontaines DC is another band I first heard here; I had seen some buzz on black midi, but this is the first time I’ve heard them. The kids really rock in both those bands, black midi in kind of a peculiar way. Looking forward to the Top 10.
